I was looking forward to it, because I love paperwork! But when the envelope appeared in my mailbox yesterday, I noticed it was very thin. I'd thought online was only one option, but it seems hard-copy (paper forms) are no longer an option, or at least I didn't receive one.
Did it occur to whomever is in charge that not everybody has internet access, and there are probably plenty of people who don't know how to fill out forms online?

Is there anyway I can see the census reports from 1940. My sister was looking up an old friend of my Mother's . She knows the address from the 1940's but can't remember their last name. I've tried looking it up but I can't find a site with the information.

Thanks for the info - I used their website to do a little research into my ancestors. Interesting stuff. My one great great grandfather served of the South in the Civil war. Who knew?Yes, you can find them on familysearch.org.

That's odd; ours came with a hard-copy form that you can physically fill out and return. Online is so much easier but I know there are still people who don't have internet access--my sister being one.

My form was internet only but it did say that if they did not hear from me in two weeks they would mail me a form to complete.
It also said that if I failed to respond they would eventually send a census taker to my door.
I was tempted to wait so I could imitate Betty White's responses.

I did mine first thing this morning online as well.I just got mine today. Took me about a minute to do it online. Yes, I had nothing else better to do atm...
Mine didn't come with anything to fill out either. Maybe somebody who was stuffing envelopes missed a few.
No. You have been chosen for either a long form to be mailed in, or an interview in person.
That was my job!
If you do it online why would you need to fill out a form or have someone come to your home on top of that?

They're getting kinda pushy- just received second notice- it said I "recently" received one.. yes, I got it on Saturday!
