This is the part I loved: "It is unfortunate and distressing that those who refuse and threaten violence are so self-absorbed as to not follow what is a simple show of respect and kindness to others... He said businesses still have the right to require customers to wear a face mask or covering to enter."Well, I guess this was inevitable.

He was just placating the potentially violent. The same thing happened here in Ohio. But, a business can refuse them entry. If they then try to force the issue, authorities can become involved. It's a compromise, but a logical one, in my opinion. Why change the ruling?.. why not just ensure there's police or security at the doors to ensure everyone entering is wearing PPE...
I don't know about your area, but here in CA, masks are required when in stores. That's the only time I wear one - silly as it is. I have to buy food & I'm not interested in arguing with anyone or making a point. One thing this virus is showing us is that there is no shortage of people foolish enough to deny the risks of this illness. IMO, wearing a face mask should be mandatory when going to a store, etc., and if an individual refuses to do so, they should Not be allowed into the store.
HAHA. They have to cut a hole in the mask so they can eat and fight Corona.......I don't understand the restaurants being back open at limited capacity...lets see now, you can were a mask when
you're eating can you? After seeing that air circulation chart from the restaurant in China, nope, we won't be "dining in" any time soon, except home, of course. The back deck is the perfect "al fresco" meal for us, too.
I apologize if my opinion upset you or if you thought that it was directed at you.If you're calling me stupid Aunt Bea, I'm disappointed in you as a person. Maybe I don't belong here if I can't express my views as intelligently and as sensitively as possible.
i was just thinking that when i read it, why or more importantly how might one eat in a restaurant wearing a mask?... or perhaps they were collecting a take-away?I don't understand the restaurants being back open at limited capacity...lets see now, you can were a mask when

Restaurants are supposed to limit the number of customers to allow for 6' of social distancing. That's supposed to be 'safe.' I have my doubts.i was just thinking that when i read it, why or more importantly how might one eat in a restaurant wearing a mask?... or perhaps they were collecting a take-away?
The 6 ft rule is as stupid as the masks. Droplets from a cough or sneeze travel more than 27 feet. And the non-medical masks protect against particles during construction; not microscopic viruses. And the virus enters through the mouth, nose, or eyes. What mask protects the eyes?Restaurants are supposed to limit the number of customers to allow for 6' of social distancing. That's supposed to be 'safe.' I have my doubts.
That is the reason for wearing masks - so the droplets don't spread 27 feet. The 6 ft rule is as stupid as the masks. Droplets from a cough or sneeze travel more than 27 feet. .. They can't cure this virus or any virus.
