VOTE on Tuesday

I like to go in person on Election Day. I'm beginning to think I may be the only person there, as everybody has voted already!

I, too, prefer to go to the polling place, and putting the ballot in the counting machine myself. That way, I at least know that it didn't get lost in the mail, etc.

I just wish all states would have the option to vote by mail. There are places that make it hard to get to their voting spots with long, long lines. And not all employers make it easy for some employees to take off time to vote, even though it's the law. For myself, when I did go to a polling place, it was definitely not exciting or fun, so nothing to lose by voting by mail, except being one of the first votes already counted. I kinda like that.

Here, our early voting is done in a polling place that is just like the polling places on election day, and they handle everything the same day. Voting early just helps avoid long lines or having something come up that prevents you from getting there on election day. Sometimes I vote early, sometimes I wait till election day.

Same here; we voted early at our polling location.

A friend recently pointed out to me that if "something happens to you" between the time you do your early voting and the actual election day, at least your vote will count.

I have to say, I never really thought of it that morbidly. But although there's a bit of truth in it, I still like the special feeling of going to the polls on Election Day.

I agree with that. To me putting it in the mail just adds one more layer where something can go wrong and there are already too many. When I lived in Florida I always voted early. But here in Alabama there is no such option. So I went today. Just got back.

I'm happy I voted early the weather where I live is horrible today. Wind and rain. My Husband just came home from voting and he said there were at least 200 people there casting their vote.

I took my senior mom and we voted back in October as soon as early voting started. :love_heart:
