Metaphorically true isn't it?

This week's offering is the Boss of Nat West. But that's not enough, now Farage wants the whole board marched to the guillotine.

They have finished Huw Edwards off, he and his family will not live again. But the monster, consisting of the media and public is appeased.

Can anyone else see what's happening?

Huw Edwards humiliated his wife and family by paying teens to strip off for him...rightly vilified...

The Coutts Bank boss had no right at all cancelling a prominent ex MP's bank account because she didn't agree with his politics.. rightly vilified.. and rightly resigned... both will live on high pensions for the rest of their days.. and don't need or in fact deserve anyone's sympathy...

Nige Farage has now taken up the cudgel on behalf of all the little people who have their bank accounts cancelled by banks country wide..

.....Rightly so.....

Coutts closed Farage’s accout because he fell below the required wealth requirements.
He knows the rules… glad he got kicked out …the xenophobic and racist twit.

Shame Alison Rose decided to step down…

Coutts closed his account, because they didn't like his attitude,
the BBC broadcast that he was thrown out because he didn't
have enough money ion the account, this was wrong, but the
head of the parent bank agreed that this was the case when
asked by reporters.

The BBC corrected the mistake and the head of NatWest Bank
resigned, because she agreed with the lie.

Mike.

Frankly I don't think we'll know the exact reason but I have no sympathy for Farage and I am sorry the first female CEO of a huge British bank had to go.

Looks like Kevin Spacey will mainly escape the jaws of the monster. A jury has found him not guilty. The plaintiffs are granted lifelong anonymity but he is still going to be tainted and all his remaining days. Is that right?

As for my original post, I say then these same merciless high standards should apply to everyone. These days an apology, however sincere, is never enough to appease. Nobody seems happy until people lose their livelihoods, in effect their life.

In general, let him without sin throw the first stone.

Huw Edwards finished himself off and is entirely responsible for the embarrassment and hurt he has undoubtedly caused his family.

I agree. Whatever a person thinks about Nigel Farage, if banks can do this to him they can do it to the rest of us for saying something our govt. doesn't like or lose our bank account. It's the worst form of censorship control. I'm glad he's speaking out against this injustice. Bankers should handle finances and not involve themselves in opinions of their clients. IMHO.

What happens to pay and pensions when someone resigns from their job?

I'm just thinking of the impact on the life of a person and their family. They have mortgages, bills, debts as we all do. Their identity is their career.
Someone who may have spent decades working and building security. One mistake and is it all over?

I recall a case where a manager cracked a tasteless joke towards a worker. The worker took offence, lodged a complaint. He got thousands in compensation while the manager's life was devastated as he was fired.

Personally I would think very very long and hard before ruining another person.
I know this Farage case is high profile and brings up many very valid issues, however, I still have reservations about how one mistake is used to ruin anyone's life. Couldn't an apology and putting the matter right have been enough?
Wherever I worked, there was a system of verbal then written warnings.

@Rose65 This is just my opinion and I hope that it does not come across as though I am taking issue with you as I like forums where members feel free to discuss their opinions, regardless of whether I agree or not.

Personally, I believe that if someone is mistreated in any way and they wish to take action then that is their prerogative. What someone else might do in the same circumstances, does not mean the victim was wrong to take a different course.

I don't remember which movie the "Thought Police" was introduced...1984? or that famous other one. But we are now in an environment that scrutinizes how we think and if it goes against the popular "side" of the company or business you are in you can get axed or smeared very easily now, even with misinformation. We have entered an era of "Thought Wars".

The “man of the people” (aka Nigel Farage) lives in a
£4m house in Chelsea, London. His house guest at present is Ms Laure Ferrari the head of the Institute for Direct Democracy in Europe (IDDE), a Eurosceptic think tank, which is accused of illegally diverting public money to UKIP. Fine company, lol

For those who don’t know ... Coutts is a private bank part of the NatWest Group in the UK. To open an account at Coutts you are required to have an opening balance of £3m plus and to maintain that amount.
It is very likely “the man of the people” did not have the required funds to maintain his account… probably spent it on the house in Chelsea, lol

Ten banks in the UK so far have refused to open an account with him. He might have to keep his cash under his mattress!
