Weird facts about yourself!

What are some weird/unexpected facts about you?

Mine is that I can crack 87 parts of my body!

I am apparently good at the 'which is better' part of the eye exam.According to my Optician yesterday most people are useless at this!

Right now at this very minute I have pull over bras in bright colors stretched over the backs of chairs hoping to stretch them out and make them just a hair bit larger. Not the cups, just the band size.

I was sitting here trying to think of something weird about myself and thinking, there is nothing, then I looked around me. :) I put these bras over the backs of the chairs about 3 or 4 days ago when they were damp out of the washer. I got so used to them I didn't give them a second thought and neither did my husband. Then a realized if a stranger walked in they might think I'm a bit weird. In the morning I'll pull these off the chairs, fold them up and away in my drawers like a very unweird person would!!

That I was an instructor in Women's Self Defensr for some years in a Karate school, which I loved. I won a Kata trophy in a contest. I was only 98 pounds at that time but I was recognized for grace and strength and it was one of my proudest moments. My mom and I started at the Dojo together and we had the biggest laugh putting on our karate gear that first time. It was the happiest time of my life. I'll never forget all the friendships made, too

I have eleven guitars, two keyboards of different sizes, four harmonicas and one set of drums.

.....[I've just realised why I live on this island alone except for pets]...

Had to laugh at your response. Because I have:
‘One guitar with three strings
One keyboard with one note that won’t play
One Swan Cromatic harmonica
Two sets drumsticks, no drums
Two ukuleles, one won’t stay in tune

Hmmmm.......

Oh! OK. I can write backwards and forwards at the same time, pen in each hand...one going in the usual direction, and one going the other way.

Did you play, professionally, or are you just a collector? I made my living in the biz for thirty years.

Let's see...…..that I could saddle/bridle a horse, sit in the saddle, form a loop in a rope, run down a steer in an arena and catch it.

I have been playing the recorder all of my adult life (in addition to piano), and love "early music." I've played with consorts in many Renaissance festivals, concerts, etc. The reason this is a bit weird is that many people don't realize that the recorder is a serious musical instrument, and think it's sort of like playing the kazoo.

Hmmmm.......

I, too, can write backwards. The even weirder thing is, my penmanship is way better backwards than forwards.
But
I cannot do both at the same time

THAT .....is just plain..... weeeeeird

I do think all us writing backwards folks should unite and demand the word backwards to be changed to backwords

Oh, and I can raise one eyebrow while the other one frowns
That seems to really upset small children in the grocery line…and their mothers

Other’n that, I’m just standard weird

THAT, I'd like to see. Video, please!

Ha!!! Challenge accepted! :fun: I'll do it! I'm slammed at work right now, but I'll get to it soon!

REPLY TO TREEGUY. [I'm having trouble working this forum...do please excuse my lack of expertise]

I've never been famous,-never even sought fame-but I played with some mighty names over the years-usually as a session or studio musician.
Producers tend to be WELL chuffed when a chap can play various types of guitar [twelve,six,acoustic,leccy,fretless,lead,bass,et-al]
But in truth no praise can be bestowed;it's just something I was born able to do. The very first time I played,I was 5yo...and got caned in front of the whole school on my very first day, for playing it 'upside-down'. [I'm a leftie] Very first guitar I'd ever seen, let alone played. Meh...didn't stop me.

[MOI??? ,Oh mon DIEU;je me parle a moi-meme en public...ENCORE!] *sigh* {I want the NICE nurse-the one with the hammer...}

I can touch the tip of my nose with my tongue :p Yeah, I know .. who would want to? I can
also wiggle my nose like a bunny rabbit.

I can do "mirror writing", that's writing backwards. In fact, I can write at the same time in the right direction with my right hand and do mirror writing with my left.

Yes, it's an absolutely useless talent and I've never found a way to make money doing it...LOL.

Oh, and I can curl my tongue into a tube and turn it upside down. Another totally useless talent.

I don't know why I never learned to do something I could do in the Circus or the Freak Show and make a career of it.....
