At least. At one time I was claiming to be 5" 3-3/4 but I remember I was 5' 3-1/2 for sure. I was told about 3 years ago during a gastro doctor visit that I'd lost 1/4 inch. After that I started noticing more and more that my sleeves, especially in my jackets and coats had gotten too long. Then more recently it seems that my skirts (long to begin with) and pants had gotten even longer. Lately I even feel shorter when standing at the sink. So when my son came over last week, I had him measure me. He said I was exactly 5 feet!

A man my grandson took an item down from a high shelf for in the supermarket told us his wife had shrunk by 2 inches. I've heard it's common for seniors to lose inches. Have you shrunk? If so, how much? Is your shrinkage so much that it affects the way your clothes are fitting?

I have lost about an inch and I'm so happy. I was 5' 8" now 5'7''. That one inch less lets me buy average length pants. I always had to get tall and the choices were limited.
I now can borrow my daughters clothes if I need something nice for a special occasion.
Just recently went to a wedding and there was more of my daughter there than me including her shoes.

by the time i got to college as 5'8" (late 60's)... now anytime i go to the doctor and they ask me to step up on the scale... i say NO... but kidding. a years or 2 ago as asked how tall i was... then measured... -2".

I made a mistake. I didn't lose 4.75 inches, I lost 3.75 inches off my height. I feel so tall now that I correctly figured that out.
