Sorry, my comment was in response to Geezer's post, not yours. Of course you can mention news sources, but when a reference to Fox is included with "we are constantly being fleeced by big business" it does begin to sound political. I'm probably overly sensitive to the political issue because I witnessed a UseNet retirement group completely consumed by politics which is exactly what would happen here if the sponsors of this forum did not specifically forbid politics. I think we should all support them in that.

Really? It is a fact that in Australia that large international corporations get away with not paying tax and they still have the gall to receive government subsidies while their profits keep rising. At the same time they are happy to suppress the wages of their workers.

If that is politics then everything is politics, including the cost of medicines, the problem of lack of workers in schools, in hospitals and aged care homes.

Certainly, the post you are objecting to is off topic but I cannot see that it is against the terms of service of this forum. If you still think it is, I suggest you report it and this post as well. That should clear up the matter.

I've just been reading about the current left wing ideology and how it is destroying American society. It's hard to understand why so many people allow themselves to be hoodwinked into accepting this. It's all extending across the Atlantic to Britain and having the same effect. Complete lawlessness is becoming the norm. Why are we allowing this to happen?

The media jumps on anything and everything that they can sensationalize. They'll use this to distract us from that. They're relentless. It makes your head spin.

You can say that again! My head does a lot of spinning. It's time for me to cut down on the news watching again. Some or most stories they repeat 10 times till you feel like turning the TV off. I really need to again. Then I'm thinking I might miss something. Still, I need to turn something better on to watch.
