What ‘old person’ things do you do?

Get up a lot at night to pee 🥴, reminisce about the “good old days,” find myself saying, way to often, “ when I was younger” (have to stop that!)
Going to a room several times before I remember what I went in there for in the first place, being astounded each and everytime I jump up to dance to a fun song, or try to run across a path because a car is waiting for me, or do an exercise that looks so easy...and discover I no longer can, and saying “I’m sorry, could you repeat that?”

Notice that a couple of my fingers on my dominant hand are slightly crooked now, and that I have age spots on my hands.

Have hot flashes periodically

Have to pluck out my one lone chin hair every so often

When I stand from a sitting position I have to wait a second before I start walking to get the kinks out of my knees.

Years ago I would have been more concerned about the look of my sitting room.

As I've gotten older I have gradually created a cluttered command center around my chair so I rarely have to get up and move around.

I try to think of small ways to conceal the clutter by using nice wooden boxes and small stands but the clutter always seems to regain control of the area around my chair.

I have a command center, also. Everything at close reach. I think of it as working smart, not working hard. ;)

I wear closed in flat sketchers around the house rather than backless slippers or flip flops for fear of tripping.... ( had 2 bad falls this summer and I'm a young 65,)
That is something that I need to work on.

I should also get rid of the old Persian rugs that float around and bunch up on top of the fitted carpet but my little landlord white apartment would look awfully boring without them.

@ Tony,,I'm getting the old grandmother walking farts,, 3 steps, "toot' 4 steps,"toot" and so on.
Isn't too bad when I'm alone & can do it,, but when company comes,, I better find a muffler for my rear.:rolleyes::sick:🧑‍🎤
When we first moved in to our condo in 1988, there was a much older guy who used to come to our condo so I could show him around the internet. I would be seated at my computer and he would stand next to me. His rear was at my nose level and he would just let go and not seem to notice it at all. Trying to be polite, I didn't say anything either, but was always relieved when he would have his fill of the internet and leave.

Tony
