What are you cooking or baking today?

I took a really big risk and added a 3rd tablespoon of plain cocoa to my 20 ounce protein drink.

It only adds 15 calories, is more chocolatety, and other good benefits of it increase.

Made Johnny Marzetti tonight which is quick to do. Got enough for some left overs for later in the week. Today I made a hot cocoa mix from a new scratch recipe which I adjusted. I a couple of taste taster to experiment on & took advantage of them, LOL.

I also put together the Bourbon Ball filling so it can set up in the fridge. Tomorrow I'll roll them into balls & keep them in the freezer until I'm ready to coat them later in the week. Over the weekend, I'll start with the cookie baking so I can deliver them to everyone next Monday.

I almost never cook this time of year, other than pizza (technically baking) and Christmas Eve & Christmas Day dinners. Am I the only one who mostly takes a cooking break in December.

First on the agenda will be making more biscotti dough to bake up either later today or tomorrow morning. Assembled my mise en place while making coffee cup #3 and microwaving some frozen veggies and a previously baked potato.

After that it'll be time to start whipping up pizza dough for our first big Christmas party this Saturday. I'll make enough for 20 pizzas. Not all will necessarily be made into pizzas Saturday night, but 'tis better to have too much than not enough. Any extra dough will be made into pizzas Sunday for my freezer and DD's.

I'll check in with y'all when I take a break.

Mine are flavored traditionally and contain almonds and dried cranberries. I don't do chocolate biscotti because I make other cookies that contain chocolate.

When assembling the boxes of assorted cookies for mailing or as party favors, I tuck in extras of the cookies family and friends tell me they most love.
