What are you cooking or baking today?

Hubby made steak & eggs for breakfast. That will be our main meal today.

He also got a round steak out of the freezer the other day & we needed to cook it too. I ran it through the tenderizer & did chicken fried steak with cream gravy. That will be for tomorrow.
 
Just back from the produce store & Aldi.

Needed some ingredients to pull together my version of the "Jennifer Aniston Salad" that made the rounds a few years ago (that J.A. swore she had no connection to, but that it wasn't too far from something she might eat for lunch).

I always make a big batch se we can enjoy it for 2-3 days.
 
I'm toying with the idea of dragging out the air fryer attachments to my instant pot and reading up on that today. Hoping the changeover from one to the other isn't a hassle.

I have french fries in the freezer that might be good to experiment with.
 
Found a recipe for cheeseburger pie & decided to try it. Fried up burger, onion & seasonings which was put in a greased pie plate. Topped that with shredded cheddar & then poured a thin batter of egg, milk & flour over all of it. Baked & looked good, but something was missing flavor wise. I don't think I'll try that one again.
