I spent a good bit of time purging some files and adding others to my main external hard drive and started the process of making sure whatever is in that one is also in my 2nd back up hard drive. I will continue the process until I'm done. I still have to add more files from my iDrive account which will be deleted on May 30th.

My son and I had a fun business meeting. No that's not an oxymoron...that's how we roll. Besides playing my "obligatory" games and watching T.V. I also took a long nap today. I've been tired, like a residual tired or something, so I mostly chilled. Now I have to go clean up my kitchen, something I meant to do earlier. 😒

Had the plumber today to install the hot water heater. The company owner came by to check on the job. One of the plumbers was not feeling well. She asked if they could get it installed tomorrow. They did get the old one disconnected and removed.

She was worried about letting them do the install. She was concerned that they might make a mistake or get hurt when someone is sick. Told her it was no problem as I too did not feel well. (migraine) so I was happy to wait.

I hope I feel better tomorrow. The dogs were barking nonstop when they were in the house.
Dogs barking while you have a migraine! That can't possibly help! I hope you feel better tomorrow too Blessed.

Just want to say to my American/Canadian and Australian friends.. ( UK is march )

I've come in for a rest away from the heat. Totally different day today than yesterday... 68 f.. but it's much hotter in my south west facing garden.. where I've been trimming all the Ivy, puling up the weeds, and mowing the lawn... sooo hot!!.. couldn't keep my sunglasses on they kept slipping off my face..😅

Weather was fantastic yesterday and this morning, but it's been raining since lunch time today. I did manage to get the grass cut yesterday (new Honda lawnmower is great), but I didn't get to strim the edges this morning. Spent ages with Mrs. L looking at holiday options, but only got confused. We've got a basic idea of where we're going and costs, but as they say, the devil is in the detail. I see that the European visa waiver has been put back and won't start till next year. That's one thing less to worry about this time.

Roast rib of beef for dinner and I have to go and pick some thyme from the garden. Hope the rain stops soon.

My daughter had to work today (funny how sick ppl never take a holiday, ain’t it? ) so I’ve been babysitting the grandgirls. So far we’ve had a pretty laid-back, pleasant day. Got older grand interested in a graphic novel at her reading level (hoping to eventually bridge the iPad to full book gulf), which she enjoyed. Younger granddaughter has sculpted kinetic sand, played outside and built a marble shoot contraption.

we just got back from the play ground where younger grand let me push her on the swing (a first) and now we’re just relaxing out under the shade tree

Just a simple day……
Enjoying the outside…..birds…..buds and leaves coming out…..
Have the excitement of seeing 3 pairs of Rose Breasted Grossbeaks……have been hanging around for a couple days now…..hopefully, maybe they’ll nest close by.
Orieoles are still heavy at the feeders and oranges…..not much for bugs for them to eat yet.
Who needs internet when there’s so much to enjoy outside if a person is able.

I very much miss farm life…..the birds I fed, and watched, were my happiness.

Plumbers back to finish install on the hot water heater. I guess things have changed over the last thirteen years. They had to do things to bring up to code. They put a vent in the roof, installed a sensor that would make it shut off if it starts leaking. Now, the city requires an inspection done by the city to make sure it is installed correctly and all safety measures. So I will have an inspection next thursday or friday,

So, I still have the outside meter problems to be repaired. They have installed a new meter. Seems there are still some kind of problem with the lines to the meter. I think they are going to have to tear out the street in front of my house to fix the problem. That cost is covered by the city. I just wonder if the problem at the meter and the street caused my hot water heater to blow. If that was the case I would like them to take responsibilty.

Do we have any plumbers on the board that could tell me if that could be the case. Appreciate if anyone could advise in this situation.

I am waiting eagerly for my daughter and S-I-L to show up with delicious lobster rolls! Lobster season has opened .. yay! We'll be watching an important football (soccer) match together. (Bayern-Muenchen vs. Schalke 04)
Enjoy your day and lobster rolls OS.
@hawkdon and @hollydolly Thank you for the mother's day greetings ❣️
