Did some morning chores; going to CVS, the bank. Must go out for awhile this pm. Spending day loving my Buffy. Last night I was thinking if we had to take her to the vet for a final time that the carrier, the waiting, the fearful place might terrify her in her last moments. She's just kind of fading away. I hope I lose her at home, like her brother Max. My prior cats needed vet intervention; praying that not needed for my best girl. I'll do my very best for her, like I have done for all those I lost through life, no matter the species. If I love you, I'll BE THERE, don't worry.

I'm so sorry. I know how hard this is. My last two girls died with me naturally at home and I'm grateful for that. I did take Daphne to the emergency vet the day before she died. I told the vet I felt bad now for putting her through that. She replied that she thought she was probably dinged out (that was her wording, my cat was in probable end stage kidney failure) and probably wasn't processing everything. I hope that was the case.

@Remy. Does your agent call you as soon a new mobile hits the market? That one, not that you ever would have bought it, was on the market for a month before she called you. She should be letting you know about everything. Have you considered a townhouse?

Went grocery shopping. I haven't see shelves do bare even during the height of COVID. I can't find store brand ground black pepper in 4 stores. I could buy brand name, but not if it costs $8 for a 3 oz container, and that a sale price! None of my favorite flavors of ice cream - they has some vanilla and chocolate, but no peanut butter or cookie dough. No black or red grapes - only green. The grapes were replaced with cherries. No store brand medicated powder and the brand name is $13, and no vanilla caramel tea.

Jules, condos are out of my price range now. I could have, perhaps should have bought a condo years ago. I probably looked at a dozen over the years. This place looked decent online and on the drive by I did. Had I got out and looked around that outside, that would have been enough for a no way! Next time, if it's clearly unoccupied, I will.

No my agent never calls me, I call her. I look on Realtor dot com daily. Actually multiple times.

I looked up 3oz black pepper on Safeways site, $3.99 on sale. WINCO Foods would be cheaper, I'm sure. Safeway is a little high. I don't know why things are so expensive in your area. I went to WINCO yesterday, shelves were fine.

This morning one Hummingbird chick died, RIP.

On May 14, two eggs hatched and the chicks grew quickly. The last few days, the nest looked way too crowded. This morning I found one dead on the ground, how awfully sad. I buried it on our pet cemetery together with a dozen dogs, a pet snake, some stillborn kittens, my wife’s chickens, and whatever the children buried.

The nest looks now almost too small for the remaining hummingbird nestling that is expected to fly off in a week.

I WANT ONE!! Under the pecan tree in my back yard !!
that one looks home -made.. and a great addition to any garden for a piece of solitude.. I've been thinking of getting a little Garden Arbour...

..but in reality..it would be positioned at the far end of the garden. I have garden chairs, and garden swing.. and loungers.. so common sense dictates that I'd rarely ever use the Arbour..

Well, as with so many things in S Georgia, it’s all about “when is it shady?” Pecan tree in the back garden is shady in the AM til about 1pm, so it would be a great coffee/breakfast spot. After lunch, the front yard (with the poplar trees) is the most shady, so that’s where I sit in the afternoon 🙂

Even though it didn’t happen today, here is a happier story of a fledgling leaving its nest too early: a juvenile hawk hopped around our house all day long till my dogs brought it to me. I called Animal Services, they came late in the evening, and ten days later I was notified
that the hawk had happily flown off. And that reminds me of a rooster we used to have: when it got dark, it wasn't back in his coop. So I search and found it lying like dead in the creekbed in front of a racoon. Well, I retrieved my rooster. For 3 days it was like dead, but on the forth day our rooster started rolling its eyes and came back to life.

Refinishing a neighour's deck for her. It was pretty weathered looking but she didn't want to hire somebody to do it so I offered to do it for her. It's not that large a deck and it's really just a platform. on railings etc. Power washed it yesterday and sanded it all down today with a palm sander (Ugg - what a job that was on my knees in the hot sun for a few hours all sweaty and covered in sawdust from sanding the wood).
Told her what to buy for the finishing part so when she gets that, I'll finish it up for her. It's gonna look 100% better than what it did, that's for sure!

So glad the hawk flew away!!! I decided that I better go
see a copd doc due to my breathing difficulty this summer.
So of course I have to go to MD first, so he can tell me to
go to copd doc....more money....having probs finding a ride
tho....will see what happens......

You are so kind……I’m sure she appreciates big time.

Today was a perfect example of why I usually wait until the end of the day to post what I did rather than post earlier...what I plan to do. My plans got tossed. I wound up having to iron the outfit I chose. Then my son informed me as I was just starting my lunch that we had to leave an hour and 15 minutes earlier than originally planned. Between both young people getting ready (his GF got ready at his house), the picture taking and having to drop each of them off at different locations (in different towns...one location was kind of in he boonies) I was away from home longer than expected. These young people...I don't know. The girls were leaving together in an Uber limo and the boys were leaving together in an SUV. They were meeting up again to take pictures then head to the prom.

When we got back home I was hungry, so fixed myself a quick pizza, but my BFF called before I could eat. She was concerned because she wasn't able to reach me earlier and I hadn't gotten back to her. So we talked for awhile. I watched TV as I ate, fell asleep right after and woke up groggy at 10:35. So I wound up not doing most of what I listed in reply #7,018. :cautious:
