Washing cars. It is a balmy 30F here. Not quite warm enough to use the outside faucet so I ran hose from our basement.

We are 12 miles from the car wash and by the time you get home, your car has more salt on it from the roads. A tremendous amount of salt is used on our roads.

The nearest car wash for me that I'm prepared to allow on my car in.. is 15 miles away in the nearby large town ..and so I have to be sure that the roads are not wet..or gritted if I'm going to have it washed..
 

Just back home from a relaxing afternoon with girlfriends in the next town. First, we were in a movie room all by ourselves to watch "The Fabelmans". No one else had gotten tickets! We sat in our recliners, feet up, snuggled in, and loved the quiet. Then, off to Panera Bread for soup and a sandwich, and visiting, over an hour there! Then, the ride home, and more chatter for a half an hour!
Whew! Guess I will give the day up, finish relaxing, and worry about tomorrow....tomorrow.

That is one I have not tried to make at home. I always order it when we go out (son and family) that have it on the menu. I have learned to make a decent cheddar bocolli, a good potato, chicken noodle, beef vegetable soup. I guess like you said seems like it takes a good while to cook those onions down slowly. Might be in my mind not everyone one like it. I also like recipes I know will freeze well. Do you ever freeze your french onion?

I've got plenty of those stashed in the freezer already, along with 8-10 pizzas. Come on over. We'll open a glass of wine or pull some beer from the kegerator while waiting for the food to heat up. I'll also pull some biscotti from the freezer for dessert!
 
Ohhhhkay then! Road trip to see @StarSong! We'll pick up @dobielvr and @RadishRose along the way.

Cream of asparagus soup. French onion soup. Calzones. Pizza. We should also have a handy 5-gallon drum of wine and another of beer.

We need to rent a bus🚌; I think I can be trusted to drive. If only we had a bridge over The Pond, we could fetch a few of our UK friends, too.

I am in, but I must insist on a bus with a bathroom. If we get lost, don't look at me, I can barely find my way out of a closet. Maybe when we do the US tour you can drive us to the airport and we can go over to the UK as a group. Remember @Georgiagranny you will be in charge of driving us all around. That right handed driving does not work with my brain.

Well, not today exactly, more like last night, the TV was rubbish, so I thought, "I know, I'll watch a film that I'd recorded."
Bad idea, the makers of the film thought it a good idea to drown out what the actors were saying with crap music, well, I hurled abuse at the TV which now had it's fingers in it's ears.
I then selected a second film and, would you believe it, this one had louder sh*t music and the subtitles were out of sync with the actors gobs, so rather that put by boot through the TV screen, I went for a pint.
There were only two other people in the pub besides myself, and they were watching a film on the TV........ lots of crap music....grrrrrr, so I came home and poured myself a large single malt and tuned in to you folks. 😊

Bathroom by all means! When we get to the UK, we'll ask @hollydolly to do the driving.

And there should be some good eating done at her house what with all her food stash...jussayin'
 
This morning I went to the Amazon hub to pick up Deja's package. I'm always buying toys for that kitten. The supermarket is near the hub and on the way home so I walked over and picked up a few items. They have LaYogurt for 49 cents each. It's not usually my brand but at that price I tried a couple of the flavors and found I like the banana and banana strawberry, so got 8 containers. I already have a case of Activia in the fridge. Since I eat yogurt almost daily, I now have enough to last me for a month.

I videoed Deja with her new toy and watched T.V. for a little while. My son and I were supposed to work on music today but I had fallen asleep before the scheduled time and slept for several hours. :sleep::sleep: Apparently I was more tired than I realized.
