I have to call Social Security to find out what happened to my January payment; any of your monthly payments sometimes go AWOL?
Gosh, that seems very unusual to me. I would call them!
I wonder if it has anything to do with your recent retirement in some way??? 🤔 o_O
Or some other change you've had? Medicare?
But mine came on time, even though there were changes to my Medicare, etc..... and it was right up-to-date.

I spent the morning in bed, reading posts. Just winter laziness. I'll try to salvage the rest of the day.

Exercise for sure.

Maybe I'll vacuum the bedroom. It's a fairly big deal, as I move everything and change the sheets as well.

I should probably do laundry too, but we'll see. Sorry, my life is boring!

I had to make room in my clothes closet for large items to be washed and stored. I wound up doing more reorganizing. My youngest grandson came by and we chatted for a while.

My son and I put in a little more than 3 hours of studio time working on two of my Latin songs. There's a mistake in part of the rhythm section in one of them due to my error when I played the chord progression on my instrument. Through the "magic" of digital studio production and engineering, things like that are usually an easy fix for my son due to his expertise. Damndest thing....after correcting the necessary tracks (via copy and paste) the problem still remains. We are stumped! About 45 minutes was spent on another song that needs fine tuning. I asked him to try adjusting different effects to (as closely as possible) mimic the Logic synth sound originally used but lost when my program crashed a few years ago. I'll be doing a lot of listening to the mixes he did today to see how to best proceed. @Pecos

@OneEyedDiva You and your son sound like a good team. Is it all computer created content (instruments etc)? Have you posted any of your music here? It sounds interesting and would be good to hear some of your music. :)

Another lovely day here. Saturday so will avoid the main bits of our seaside town. Too many bleedin' tourists :ROFLMAO:

High tide is in just over an hour and it's quite a high one. So I'll grab my camera and big lens and see what seabirds the tide brings in to the sea defence rocks at the far end.

It's new phone day - so new toy to play with later :)

There's a steam train coming through Lancaster after dark so I'll go to the station and see if I can get a photo :)

I am not sure exactly what I will do today. I know I am going to do at least two loads of laundry and I may dry it as well. Since our elevator is now fixed and both signs are off it that warned us about the possibility of getting stuck in it I took it last night to the first floor. My mailbox was full! Sonny (BF) might come over and if he does I will probably go somewhere with him. Exciting......to Walmart for sure!

In a few minutes I will start making four Keto Chow replacement meal shakes to put in the freezer for ice cream tomorrow and the next three days. Other than that I don't know.

Dry here today, but cold and windy. I'm going to put on my Arctic gear and chop some logs and kindling.

Our new GHIC cards arrived this morning. Remarkably fast for anything health or government related. These cards give you reciprocal health cover while visiting Europe and provide the save level of service as the National health service in the UK (when they're not on strike). They cover emergency care and existing conditions, but not things like repatriation or curtailment of holiday etc..

@katlupe I know the Keto diet is very popular and lots of people swear by it but, to me, it defies logic as you'd think a diet high in fats would have the opposite effect. I try to keep carbs and fats low and protein high whilst the Keto diet seems to be high fat, low carbs and moderate proteins? Have you been on the Keto diet for long?

Got woken up by someone wanting the same house number but one street down. Urgh! It's Saturday morning, daft buggers...

It's my son's death date, already 6 years, time marches on, sorry!

So reminiscing... Found out The Elephant House in Edinburgh where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter, suffered fire damages in 2021.

Looking back at my earliest notes on my own writings, found out that I was at my local café back in 98, jotting down the first chapter of what has become my third series, which was called back then simply "Angels On Earth!".

Got my morning routine done earlier than planned but it's a good thing 😉 Hoping you have all a great weekend. Got to get daughter up. Weekends are for sleeping in...

I have. Actually I eat about the same in fat and protein. I aim for at least 120 grams of each and 20 or less of carbs. Watch Dr. Ken Berry's YouTube videos. He has helped so many people with various health conditions. Many doctors are changing their stand on the fat issue as well as salt. I belong to a keto community and we get a lot of support from each other. Two Krazy ketos and others have had "meat-ups" in various locations and are helping one another. In fact, keto is being researched quite extensively on mental health, brain diseases and disorders. So many people have had their doctors take their diabetes medications away in a short time on keto. Keto conferences are also good to watch. Lots of doctors and professionals (like Nurse Cindy). I really believe in it.

Good morning all....nice to read everyone's news this morning, Katlupe, I'm glad the elevator is fixed in your building.
I've been 'deep cleaning' (as my daughter calls it) my bathroom...it's a big room, so just doing it in sections.
It is cold here this morning....low 40s.
Everyone have a good weekend.

The cupboard above the washer/dryer is cleaned out. I’m putting my iron and ironing board in the garage sale this spring.

going to take some homemade chicken/ veggie soup + corn bread slices over to my Prince Among Men’s house for lunch today

hope y’all have a great Saturday!

Oh how I'd love to have a bathroom so big it needs cleaning in sections... *sigh*.. I do envy you..

Well, our HOA meeting went on for I don’t know how long. Wife and I left after 2 hours. First part was interesting and informative, but the pissing and moaning started about every little detail each person didn’t like. It always happens because we’ve attended these meetings for over 20 years and they all end up the same. One person wants this and one doesn’t. Thus, we made our departure along with many other older members.
