Well, our HOA meeting went on for I don’t know how long. Wife and I left after 2 hours. First part was interesting and informative, but the pissing and moaning started about every little detail each person didn’t like. It always happens because we’ve attended these meetings for over 20 years and they all end up the same. One person wants this and one doesn’t. Thus, we made our departure along with many other older members.

IN Spain we have the equivalent of an HOA..and El Presidente.. on our gated community and at every Annual General meeting, the infighting and moaning gets on our nerves.. if Mr 45.. proposes something ,Number 89 will object to it, then number 7 will object to 89, and add a little bit of a barbed comment .. and before long people are getting ready to start a war... at the end of it we get promises of things that rarely come to frutition, and when and if they do they cost us much more than was stated at the meeting
 

I got a few paperwork things organized and caught up, today, which feels very good to have done.

I enjoyed my new laptop, which I am getting used to the differences from previous one, I'd had for several years.
This one came with Windows 11, which is not difficult to use, once one finds where the most-used things are located.

It's very cold outdoors, now, but it's pretty to look out at the wintry scene. Snow blanket on the flower bed. Bulbs all sleeping till Springtime springs. ❄️❄️⛄🌘🌓🌔🌞🌷🌷🌷
 
Horrors!!! I'm planning on commiting fraud....yes, I'm talking criminal acts which could get me in trouble.

I wandered into the minefield of CRAIGSLIST. I found an innocent posting for a room. Small, but I've done small, about as cheap as subsidized housing.

Nice area, and other roommates. But it's in another state..... That means "Legally" I'd have to change my license, mailing, medical and insurance.

No, I won't. I'll just rent the room for a year, if I like it, then I may change over. But I reserve the right to choose. We'll see what happens, the room isn't available for awhile and they possibly have others to consider.

Sticking point? Yes. They're "Covid Aware" now if they demand I get a shot, I'll pass, but if they'll permit me to mask, I will. Other then that, it's a wait and see.
 
I'm retired but my partner recently became manager of his organization. He now works 6 days a week. I try to stay active and away from home every day. 5 days at the gym. Today was a "down day". I booked a ticket for the movie Missing but didn't really feel like walking the mall and seeing a movie. I canceled and just walked outside for an hour.
 
I haven't read back to see what was up yesterday. I feel 1000% better than I've felt in a couple of days...after a late-night visit Friday to Kaiser's urgent care. Never again will I think for so much as a second that I can treat a UTI by myself! Nope. Never. Again.

Off to make 🥐 in a little bit and after today's shift, a day off. Yeehaw.
 
Today my plan is to just do my daily chores, nothing extra. My BF is coming up and I will actually go somewhere!! I have not been outside or away from here since Christmas Day (in case you don't know, my elevator was broke). I will probably take a walk to the dumpster this morning though, just to go outside. I might vacuum a bit though as soon as I know my neighbors are up.

Glad you're feeling better! Those UTI's can get pretty serious, if not treated.

It's a beautiful Sunny day nearly 3pm .. currently 5 deg C.. with a thick layer of ice everywhere, but so sunny in the Garden it feels actually warm..

I went out for a walk this morning just to the woods and lake at the back of the house.. it was very cold and foggy.. took a few pics..

Wanted to go out today, but I've got to be in for a delivery, hence my taking the walk early..

Got all the Vaccing done upstairs and down.. bleached all the sinks.. mopped the floors..

Trying to dry out the Barn.. but it's a battle.. I have the Dehumidifier on.. and the bench and the rest covered with Tarps which I have to keep shaking out of water , but the condensation on the ceiling is bad.. and caused by the ice melting on the roof... even a dry mop is useless against it.. *sigh*

Started feeling unwell yesterday late afternoon. Sore throat, burning sinuses. I slept poorly because of the discomfort. I can't take most OTC cold meds because they contain acetaminophen (paracetamol), to which I've apparently developed a sensitivity. I'll try ibuprofen tonight to see if it helps.

Other that nursing this along, I've got a light day with nothing planned.
