I was going through my photo files and deleting some, mostly of the old house. I did keep a few, like when I had the old furnace replaced.

Spent an hour or so watching You Tube videos about how to customize the lock screen on my iphone. They make it sound so easy until you try to do it. Also watched a video about the new “smart” plug I wanted to set up in my bedroom to control the lamp. I was able to get that working on the first try. Good day for inside tasks since it’s been rainy and stormy all day.

I've been very antisocial lately...social media, that is!

I've managed to pop into FB a little, but I haven't been to my forums, hardly at all. My days go by so fast, and at the end of them, I'm too tired to string together any kind of coherent sentences!

Today has been yet another busy day...and I'm exhausted!

First of all, Dio is is sick. His scratchy throat is gone, but it has turned into a head cold. We only had 2 pills left, of the medicine that he needed, so this morning we were off to Wal-Mart. I really didn't want to go there this week, since it's on the far side of town, and we were just there last week, but.....

The rain was supposed to start this afternoon, turning into 6-10 inches of snow overnight. If we didn't go to Wal-Mart today, we surly wouldn't want to go tomorrow!!! So, off we went. As a bonus, while there, I got some bunny ears to were in my hair, for Easter!

Once we got home, we quickly ate, then headed outside to get as much done as possible, before the rain started. First, I checked fences. Then I helped Dio move some really big logs from the dead tree that he has been cutting down. So, far, he has cut 2/3 of the tree. Today, we finished moving all of the wood and cleaning up all of the branches....just as the rain started!

Another thing that I did today...I took down our Christmas tree. Don't judge me!

We both enjoy the tree so much, that I never take it down before Jan 15th......and usually it's a week or two later! So, I got that packed up and put in the barn before the rain, too!

Once I was in for the day, I called my insurance company, again, and this time I got through right away....never even put on hold! The woman who I spoke to was very helpful and told me what I needed to do (send an email).....and I was done in no time at all! I even sent the email!

Now, it's snowing like crazy!

Dio has the wood stove set up for tomorrow, and I'm not going anywhere!!! Maybe I'll even get around to reading some of your posts...you never know!

I wish I could say we had some of the white stuff, no just cold weather and rain. I do hope for a little snow this winter. There is just something about those tiny white flakes falling from the sky. They seem to cleanse my soul, take away my fears give me a comfort I can't describe.

Well, are you going to leave us all in suspense? I had to look these up.

For the first one, depends on the source. Either My Girl or I Heard It Through the Grapevine. There were a couple of other candidates too, that were less familiar to me.

First big rap hit: Rapper's Delight? I'd call that funk, but I'm no musicologist.

What I'm doing today ... Got off to a good start, housework and exercise. Next I'll go to the recycle depot. Maybe a couple of stores.

Then more exercise, talk to language partner, etc.

According to my driver...I Heard It From The Grapevine by Marvin Gaye was the biggest seller. Rappers Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang is correct and it is Hip Hop. Funk is another category in of itself with many different signature artists...James Brown, Parliament-Funkadelic (either or can stand alone as a group), Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers, Trouble Funk and Maze f/Frankie Beverly to name a few.

Seems like you had a good, productive day Northern Light. I admire your commitment to get your exercise in.

I woke up this morning with my left shoulder killing me. I realized my side gig providing downsizing and packing services isn’t feasible with this issue. I called my chiropractor and scheduled 4 laser treatments. I never had a problem until 2 years ago getting rid of my ex’s junk. I thought it was resolved but obviously not.

Been out today with 2 friends to have a 'Burns' supper'' at the pub ( actually lunch ) . It celebrates the Poet Rabbie Burns every year. His birthday is the 25th of January but the pub serves the Haggis neeps and Tatties for the whole week ...

It's so cold today.. I really needed that hot lunch...

After Deja & I had breakfast, I relaxed and watched TV then played WWF2, Mahjong Titan & Cody Cross. My son brought my granddaughter over for a surprise visit this evening. She will return to campus Thursday. While she was here my oldest grandson called so they got to chat briefly on speaker. She and my son left shortly after that so my grandson and I continued our long, interesting conversation. I had taken a short nap this afternoon but wound up falling asleep again tonight while at the computer composing this reply!

Wednesday is Likkle Grandson day so it's Hart Beeps musical activity for him this morning. I have a Diabetic Retinopahy appointment midday then it's session in the gym while LG has his afternoon nap. Maybe a trip to feed the ducks after his nap

I've never really liked haggis, though Mrs.L loves it. Neeps are widely grown here as apparently they are a 'soil improver'. When they have grown, sheep graze on them and what's left is ploughed in. We would say that neeps are the same as swede rather than turnip.

The weather has changed again and after a lovely day yesterday, it's become colder and windy. At least, the overnight rain has stopped.
I've just been to buy a large sack of potatoes and was pleased to find that the price hadn't gone up (£8 for 25kg) . No plans for rest of the day, but I might start to tidy the garden.

My son is coming over, just him, for the day. We have stuff to do. For some reason, I made sure to dress nicer than I do for my grandson, and even am wearing my best earrings.

Morning routine is slowly getting done,, I took time to read a bit more of the book I'm reading.
Hospital called, I go in Friday morning for a scan of my stomach area.

Yesterday…..my wee girl went to her grooming appointment……she loves it, when she gets all pretty, even being almost 16 1/2 years old.

Shovelled sNOw yesterday.
Will shovel more sNOw today, from our sNOw day yesterday…..forecasted sNOw for tomorrow, so I’ll wait till Friday to get my driveway cleared.

Usual cleaning chores, sewing time, and my yogurt order will be delivered later today……YOGURT !!!!!!!

On my early walk around 6:45 temp was 28,went to local co op{opens at 7,I'm a member} walked 3 blocks needed couple items. I read it was suppose to start snowing around 8am wanted to do get my long walk in for the day .Twenty five min after I got home,I looked out the window it was lightly snowing
The rest of my day probably go out mid morning walk around apt complex,read NYT,my book, tonight after dinner tackle NYT daily crossword see what's good on TV to watch

All in all I'm satisfied with my new home, although it could use some tweaks. The neighborhood is much quieter.

The pain in my eye subsided around Christmas, but the vision in it is not good. It's like looking trough waxed paper and it's distorted. On my last visit to the eye surgeon she said that's probably as good as it's going to get.

Just sitting here drinking coffee and listening to the rain on the glass roof of the sunroom. I took my BP a couple of minutes ago and it was good 108/70 with a pulse of 62.
If I get the last form, I will complete my taxes today and get them headed off to the IRS. Otherwise, I don’t have a clue what I will do. Going for a long walk is out so it will be the indoor cycle and weights. I do have a load of laundry to take care of and I need to go get another bottle of good rum.

Yesterday I bought groceries, but there is still a bag of them left to put away.

In the last couple days, been to my first "Friends of the Library" meeting, continue to clean/sort, baked ahead, and work on knitting project.

Yesterday I spent an hour with my older granddaughter while Mom took younger grand to speech therapy; our time went better than last week. We played a word game on the tablet, then she asked for another chapter of A Wrinkle in Time, which I thought was going to be a miss (she yawned dramatically and frequently through the last chapter); but this time she was engaged and asked questions and now we're getting to the exciting part =)

Today it's supposed to be rainy and windy, so I'm not sure what all I'll get up to. Hope y'all have a good day!

We missed the sNOw yesterday .... but the Houston area was hit with tornadoes, I hope none of our members were affected.
Nothing much planned to do today, I do have to prepare for another trip back to Costco in the next few days.
