@jet Beautiful pix! Reminds me of the scenery in the Doc Martin series.
@Pepper I get it, I really do. When there's too much commotion/too many people I get so nervous that all I want to do is run. Fast.
@hollydolly I'm gonna guess allergic to the dust and maybe leaf mold? Try running a sink of hot water and breathe deeply while standing over the steam. Did the UPS dude ever turn up with your package?
@timoc Yay! Glad you can see the world again. My day is coming for cataract surgery. I've had both eyes operated on for other problems so not squeemish about having it done. The problem is finding the time.
DS/DSIL brought Thanksgiving dinner. OMG! It was sooo good. But I didn't eat too much because I hate that ate-too-much feeling like
@CallMeKate mentioned. It's that one last bite that gets to me!
Okay, then...When I got to the bakery this morning it looked like Old Mother Hubbard's bare cupboards. The customers, the ones I mentioned who didn't get the memo that yesterday was Thanksgiving Day, cleaned us out. There was barely a crumb left so it took a bit of hustle to get the shelves and tables loaded up again.
Sir didn't come in this morning. I knew his intentions were good yesterday and also knew his intentions wouldn't be so good this morning. LOL I worked alone and got everything done. We
did get a truck last night, and it did have croissants for us. Cranked out croissants and cookies and bread to last us through the day today.
All those folks who stormed the doors yesterday and left with carts full of food? I swear they were all back again today. LOL The strangest thing I saw yesterday in all those carts was how many had gigantic
frozen turkeys in them. Hm. Reckon they intended to cook them Sunday? I mean...how long would it take to cook a 20 lb frozen turkey??? It might be done in time for dinner next Thanksgiving!
