When I used to make clothes, good buttons were always hard to find. Nice, old buttons used to sell for good prices on places like Ebay.I was raised the same way. To this day, I save old buttons in a jar! I used to love seeing the rag rugs at my Grandma's house when we visited...they always intrigued me!
Those were the days!
Cocoa and Bailey’s— how decadent!A good day here again. I decided to go take a drive to the casino....glad I did. I had fun, a buffet meal, and came home with more money than I left with! My kinda day!
Tonight it's a snuggle down time with hot cocoa and Bailey's Irish Cream...tonight it's getting down brutally cold, about 2°, not counting the wind chill, and a high of 7° tomorrow.
Hope you feel better soon CinnamonSugar...Today's been kind of a rough day... I've been feeling 'puny' the last few days, not overtly nauseated but just BLAH. I went with Ed to the senior citizen's get-together. Sorry, it was (for me) not a success for various reasons. My upset tummy made everything on the potluck table look unappetizing. I finally put a small serving of udon noodles on my plate but there were only spoons available for utensils/cutlery by the time I got to the front of the line. You ever tried to eat udon noodles with a Spoon? ::snort:: I told Ed, "I'd do better with chop sticks" We left kind of early.
Came home, took some meds, napped. Still out of sorts; eating very lightly (chamomile tea and a few whole wheat crackers). Started a new knitting project.
Feel a little better now; hopefully that will continue. I hate feeling nauseated.
What was your first clue?? Only teasing you, I bet you swore under your breath when it fell.....
Or perhaps right out LOUD!
Thank you, @JamalaHope you feel better soon CinnamonSugar...
looking forward to hearing how your descant rehearsals go![]()
There's your problem, North. Junk food.Been living on junk food for a couple of days.
Soda crackers work better Cinna... it's the baking soda that settles. Also ginger.Today's been kind of a rough day... I've been feeling 'puny' the last few days, not overtly nauseated but just BLAH. Thank you. I've been exercising and eating healthy for a long time. Doesn't prevent the winter blahs. There's your problem, North. Junk food.
Get up, go to the store and get some fresh green things, some tomatoes, pears and cheese.
Get a very expensive large steak, even if you're vegan.
Especially if you're vegan!
Make a salad, heat up the broiler and broil your steak as you like it and dive in.
Have red wine with it.
Cheese and pears for dessert.
You'll feel much better.
It's weird for me to return to a former stylist or any service person because I worry she'd feel that I'd been disloyal - kind of like I'd cheated on her. That's why I felt like I needed to make an excuse. Is it just me, or do other people feel like this? And has anyone here ever had clients leave then come back? If so, how did you feel about that?
I had my own salon for 18 years in my home and a wonderful clientele during that time. At times a client wanted to try another stylist, or I was on vacation, or someone else was recommended to them.I feel like I’m being disloyal too, even if I just go for one appointment elsewhere and return.
You GO Rob!Heading to the gym this morning. Circuit training then weigh lifting. Not that I lift a lot of weight...
Sunny here GeeGee.. actually I was quite looking forward to going to the hospital because it's in a pretty part of the next county, and I knew it was going to be sunny today.. but hey.. my back hurts anyway, so probably best I don't drive..Good morning, boys and girls. I'm up and prepared to go churn out croissants
It's raining again, of course.
