I think a truck hit me yesterday. Guess not, sure it would be much worse. I'm having difficulty dealing with all these surgeries & 'procedures' chipping away at my life. Sorry, not a happy camper, it's been rough. Today my grandson & son coming to help. Yesterday, my son was so wonderful helping me, wanting to do more, while I just wanted to be alone and miserable. I'm ashamed at my own weakness & unwillingness.

Thank you all, you're all always here.....

Today I attacked my desk.
Cleared out some non essential paperwork and organized essential paperwork for my tax return.
Then I binge watched two episodes of the great British series 'The Suspicions of Mr Whicher' meantime munching on chips and guess what....
....I had a small can of lager beer to wash them down.
The beer is in small cans called Molsons Cold Shots and got it courtesy of my neighbour who drinks one can every day. I have never been a beer drinker but I must say I rather enjoyed it. Just made me feel mellow and irritating pains eased up for a while.

Lovely afternoon all in all.
No, I have not defrosted my little freezer yet
Mebbe tomorrow:unsure:

Looks like I forgot to post yesterday; I must have been more tired than usual when I got home. Anyway, I'm alive and well.

A day off today and of course I woke up at going-to-work time.

It was cold yesterday, but even though the temp right now is only 38F, we're promised sunshine and a high temp today of 64F. That's quite a temperature span...we'll see. "They" are probably lying again.

Today is DGD's first work-at-home day. The electronics she needs arrived last week, and she got them all set up and running on Thursday evening. Starting this week, she'll only need to go to the office every now and then, maybe once every two weeks or so.

Maybe I can sweet talk DD into taking me to the garden centers to have a look-see. One-Drive sent me pix that I'd taken in early February for the past couple of years, and they all show pix of Senetti. We'll still have frost a time or two before spring, but Senetti is a cool-weather plant so if it's available a few might have to follow me home....yanno...to brighten up the garden before spring really gets here. The deer and squirrels and bunnies don't like them, but I do.

There are still a couple of months that are cool enough that pansies bloom nicely, but the critters won't leave them alone. I'll be darned if I'm gonna feed 'em again after they ate the ones I planted in the fall.

Time to get going. Shower, dress, tidy up, forage for breakfast food.

BTW: Those shoes? AFAIK, the ones without heels have always been called ballet flats or just flats; the ones with heels are called pumps.

Yeah. American football. It's when a bunch of buff young guys in tight pants run around throwing or carrying a sort of oval shaped "ball" around on a long field of grass and attacking each other trying to take the ball away before the carrier or catcher can get to the other end of the field.
I don't know much about football, but I know a tight end when I see one! 😉😊

I am sitting in the Dermatology room waiting for the doctor to freeze a couple of spots on my face. This is the result of working on a cotton farm in West Texas.

Well, he did his thing on 15 spots on my face. By tomorrow I am going to look like a got into a nasty fight with a couple of pissed off alley cats.

This sounds like fun @StarSong! Will costumes be worn? Oh, imagine our clothes are now "costumes" :(.

What foods are you thinking of?
I posted the likely menu on #1986 of this thread, though I forgot to include cold shrimp and cocktail sauce. Am also thinking of Hawaiian Chicken on small skewers. Since I don't eat meat, I don't always think of it when party planning.

@Jules reminded me of the very attractive and delicious 70s dip presentation in a loaf of sourdough. Will definitely do that with either the spinach dip or the hot crab dip.
