I posted the likely menu on #1986 of this thread, though I forgot to include cold shrimp and cocktail sauce. Am also thinking of Hawaiian Chicken on small skewers. Since I don't eat meat, I don't always think of it when party planning.

@Jules reminded me of the very attractive and delicious 70s dip presentation in a loaf of sourdough. Will definitely do that with either the spinach dip or the hot crab dip.
Thanks Star,, somehow I missed that chunk of posts. Your menu sound great to me.

It's been an absolutely glorious day today... blue skies sun.. 50 degs, I went out without a coat, and I'm sure those who were wearing coats regretted it.... Drove over to a market town about 20 miles from here to collect my new Onesie.., haven't opened it yet.. but I am kinda no feeling it if you see what I mean..lol... anyway I'll get around to it soon enough..

Got a few things from M&S.. had a little wander around the shops, got a couple of shirts, and vest tops for summer .. town was really busy because it's half term for the schools and such a sunny day into the bargain.. rest of the week is forecast to be cloudy.. Stopped and had lunch at the pub.. Al fresco.. all on my own.. which was perfectly fine. Amazingly the pub was packed inside , no table spare at all.. and no-one outside.. incredible to me that people don't want to sit in the sun when it's out after a long winter..

It's past 5pm now.. sun has gone.. it'll be dark in half hour..

Anyway.. .. here's where I was today...

Empty pub garden..

Market square, no market on a Monday...in fact I was surprised at how many stores were closed on Mondays in this town..

Inside a little independent home goods store..

@hollydolly people packed themselves indoors on such nice day? What? Go figure!

Can't wait to see a picture of you in your new onesie. Does it have feet?

DD took me to the garden centers where there was next to nothing out yet except pansies, flowering kale and flowering cabbage. The only people who buy them are people who are new to the area and don't know that they'll only be around for about six more weeks.

I got some bulb food, ixia bulbs and another kind of bulbs that look like a cross between ixia and daffodils. I forgot what they're called. They should have been planted in December, but they're in the ground now.

Also planted bulbs from some forced daffodils and tulips in indoor pots that are already spent.

Ahhhh. It's such a pretty day. Sunshine. 60F.

Prepping for grandchildren.
There is a new way of feeding babies. You supplement the pureed food with things they kind of gnaw on like chicken bones, broccoli spears, cooked potato wedges, toast sticks. It seems to help with teething too.
They get little bits as it gets mushy.
I asked about choking. You have to watch them but apparently they have a built in way of expelling the food if its too big. Needless to say a lot ends up on the floor.
I'm making some turkey meat sticks like meatballs but shaped like two adult fingers he can hold and gum.
Its really funny to watch and they love it! Bananas. I bought some large carrots to cook.
I saw him with an avocado wedge just sucking away on it! 😃

Been to see former boss at previous hospice office. Offered a PRN (as needed) position, will probably average out to 5-6 days a month. Don’t even have to go thru orientation again— yayayay!! Leaving time for travel, grandkids, etc but still keeping in the ‘medical loop’

Ran out to pick up an Rx.

Stopped to check out the new marijuana store up the street. It's legal here in CT for both recreational and medical use.

It was fun to see all the changes in the paraphernalia from back when we sold it at the bookstore so many years ago.

A single, pre rolled, fancy-in-a-glass-tube joint costs $25.00! One of these days I might buy one for the heck of it.

Fabulous news.. no new premises, no new colleagues... job you can do standing on your head.. and just enough to keep you interested, and leaving plenty time for your life... excellent

I know it's not strictly new.. but
