Since I live upside down time wise, I have just had a shower. Trying to build up the energy for a quick trip to the neighborhood walmart for a few things. Of course, still have to dry my hair and put on some clothes.

I need to do the floors, dog hair round up, as always. Straighten up the kitchen. I know I won't be cooking today. I still have tuna salad and spinach ricotta ravioli in the fridge. So exciting I can't stand it NOT...

Welp, I did everything I said I'd do today. Things are looking up.

I even sent my language partner a photo of my snow-covered car. Also a photo of my car "plugged in." (Actually it's the block heater that's plugged in.) He said he'd never heard of such a thing. Neither had I, until the first time I lived in "the north," as a young adult.

Today was a very, very interesting day in many, many ways.

Birthday party for my quasi-granddaughter (Spousal Equivalent's granddaughter but in all but common genes, she is mine as I've been there for both of the girls' entire lives and we are very close), followed by the best low country/Cajun/whatever boil I've ever had.....clams, oysters, shrimp, Andouille sausage, potatoes, crayfish, crabs, and all the trimmings. I ate until I was about ready to explode. AND brought a lot home for tomorrow. Yum!

But the most interesting thing was that I sat for three hours and chatted with the Spousal Equivalent's ex-wife, who I hadn't really ever met before except for a strained smile here and there for the last 13 years. I liked her! We had a great time chatting. We didn't touch on anything sensitive, thank goodness, but we found a lot to talk about.

She and the Spousal Equivalent can barely be civil to each other, so he mostly stayed outside with the other guys. It didn't seem to bother him too much that I was getting chummy with the ex. I'm glad.

As I said, a most interesting day.

I woke up long before the alarm told me to so have already fed Maggiecat, cleaned the litterbox, made the bed and had coffee.

On mornings like this I get fooled into thinking there's plenty of time and usually end up racing around just before it's time to leave because I fiddled around.

Gonna be sunny and 72 today. Maybe I'll feel like poking around in the garden this afternoon. Or maybe I'll feel like taking a nap.

It seems kinda goofy to me to have three separate threads about what we're doing each day. @Matrix Why not just merge them all into this one?
Raquel Welsh died a few days ago, and there are three threads about her. There are many related cooking threads, should there be only one? We have a hundred threads on COVID, should they all be merged into one? Perhaps some people prefer to post in a different thread. Why does everyone who wants to share what they're doing today have to post in this thread? 🤔

I went on my morning walk around 6:10 walked to the corner/back,temp was 42 no wind
This morning around 11,going on a 'road trip' with close friend, Marcia, she taking me out to lunch to celebrate my belated birthday{NOV} then go to a friend of hers who owns a clothing store. She sells winter coats,I've had my Lands End stadium coat for about 15 yrs, hopefully will find one, coats are on sale now
We are going to Medina which is south of Buffalo, last time we went on a 'road trip' was last April. She took me to Best Buy to get my Chrome laptop replaced

Has been sNOwing through the nite, and still is.
Will be getting reacquainted with my sNOw shovel…..got about 5” so far.
Tomorrows’ garbage day…..so will see if there’s anything extra to go, but I don’t think so, have things fairly well sorted out for now.
Hope to do some sewing……the usual cleaning chores.

Morning all...It's suppose to be in the lower 80's today...:)
My 9 year old grandson broke his arm yesterday..:( and my best friend since 6th grade that recently had back surgery is back in the hospital, I'm very worried about her..I'm just going to try to stay busy today...

Seeing a doctor to refill my meds. This doc does absolutely nothing but refill my meds. Doesn't even listen to my heart. Doesn't touch me at all. Does his five minutes & then I get my refills. This is my PCP. His assistant, or whoever she is, takes my BP. That's it. Takes hours to go, see him for 5 minutes, go home.

Pepper, this is all too common now, my friend is going through this daily with hospitals and medical people...so sad.
