My normal crazy self, have been up all night. The dogs have been good, I have gone out with them every time to make sure there was not anything strange in the yard. There has only been one bark since last night. I think my stress got to the little terrier, he threw up in the house. Maybe he was trying to help me, I have been sick at my stomach since yesterday. I have managed to choke down some dinner rolls but nothing else. I had pulled a ribeye out of the freezer and some breakfast sausage. I had intended to have proper dinner, cook the sausage and make sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast for a few days. I just did not have energy to cook so everything is in the fridge. Maybe I can cook tonight after I sleep. Does anyone else get physically ill from stress/worry? I feel like the only person that let's things bother me so bad I am sick to my stomach.

Oh I can absolutely sympathise with you. I always get physically sick from stress and worry..it goes straight to my stomach! often when I'm being sick.. and there doesn't seem to have been an obvious answer, I realise it's because I've got something playing on my mind.. but most of the time, it's very obvious that I'm being poorly through stress !

People tell me ''don't make yourself ill''... and I always say..I'm not making myself ill, it's other people''....as if I can prevent it happening.. I only wish I could!

Sometimes I get sick in my stomach from anxiety and high stress... but mostly it shows itself as physical pain. I remember an elderly lady telling me years ago after extremely high anxiety that my legs and ribs were hurting so badly because sometimes stress manifests as extreme muscle aches and other body pains. And now, probably at least 30 years later, it's still the same for me. I hope you will feel better soon, @Blessed .

I've done that before, and thought the same as you.. a wasted day...and then I'm up all night.. and it takes a few days to get back into some sort of routine. I'm going through that right now.. it's 1.25am, and I'm not a bit tired.. I'll have to take something to make me tired..

So there I was at 1.45am my time this morning watching TV and thinking of you the previous day with the same experience.
Went back to bed about 3am, woke up at 6am , got up , tea and toast, got ocular migraine , went back to bed and here I am at 8am wide awake. WTF...oops Sunday so should have pure thoughts.

Never a dull moment.
Now at 8.30am I am getting sleepy again so will give the bed another try in a few minutes but the bitch thumb is nagging so not sure about sleep..I do wish it would get lost.
Hope you had a better night

I didn't get to sleep until 4.30 am ish... awake at 9.40 am... It's almost 2pm now.. and I start to feel waves of tiredess, and I want to stay awake because if I drop off even for 1/2 hour it can cause me to be awake far into the early hours..

Hope the pain in your hand eases off... 🤗

Morning folks.....42f right now and rather foggy...may get
into 50's later on....and yes the crawl-space boogeyman woke
me abt 430am today....it appears to be looking for special
place to have a litter....I think it is a groundhog, just noticed
one in front yard....dunno what to do exactly....last time landlord
trapped one, the next door neighbor went nuts with complaints
about cruelty and all that....I'm worried it may get into water
closet area, which would give it access to main home....grrrr...ah well....this is another major aches and pains day also, just saying........;)

You are definitely not the only one, @Blessed
But you already know that, as others replied, even before I got here, to do the same.;):giggle:
I hope that your migraine has eased, some. And that you are better able to cook and to eat. And that the very understandable stress, from the one neighbor, somehow lessens.

@hollydolly Thank you for including and mentioning that you saw that your daffodils are nearly blooming, and the yellow crocus (croci?, crocuses ...;))
are yellow!

Today, I am watching a gentle light snow squall, out the window, and a few wild birds, who have begun the gradual changeover to brighter color feathers, that they do, yearly in very early Spring, in anticipation of being ready to blend in with the flowers, once flowers arrive hereabouts.
That's really the first signs, that I see here, that Spring and blooming flowers will be coming! (not soon, but they will)
Very thankful to have vision to see those signs, too!

Just had dinner... washed up, put the rubbish out. The sky is very blue..but it feels really cold now. Gonna be dark in an hour..

Took delivery of my new silicon pots for the air fryer. Set my new Lamp in situ that I bought during last week. I bought it with the intention of putting it in a certain place, but it really doesn't suit it there.. so I've had to find somewhere else to place it. Shame..

Wishing everyone with worries and aches/pains will have a better day today ((hugs)) y'all... truly

Yes, I wondered how @StarSong's party came out with the arrival of an uninvited snow storm (the last think I ever thought I'd hear would be the words San Diego and blizzard warning in the same sentence!! o_O )

Headed out to Americus this afternoon for 3 days of work at the hospice office; I have to get set up on the computer again and there's probably other "housekeeping" details that will need addressing. + I just need to get back into the swing of things before taking a weekend on my own. Fortunately, the house at which I stayed before is still available, so I can use that for a nominal fee/day vs having to get a hotel room-- plus, it has that *lovely* screened-in porch on the back. ::big smile::

Hi, Invisipeeps. I'm home.

It's sort of warm but overcast. Off tomorrow with no rain expected until afternoon and extremely windy. If I find plants today, they'll have to be planted today or first thing in the morning before the wind and rain start.

Stress. I don't get, or at least haven't so far, physical symptoms from stress. Well, except for the heart attacks. That's kinda physical, right? Mostly I get depressed, and I've been depressed a lot in the past two months.

It was a wonderful, peaceful day in the bakery. Retired Lady and I were very productive and got lots done so that Sir will be freed up to do administrative stuff tomorrow.

And then...Retired Lady told me that New Lady announced to her yesterday that she'd be back to work on Tuesday after her surgery, which is scheduled the 28th. That's Tuesday. What? Guess it's not gonna be a hip replacement. Retired Lady reminded her that she's not scheduled to work at all next week and was told that she'd come in anyway if she feels like it.

It snowed a little yesterday, about a half an inch accumulation only.

I'm wondering about @StarSong 's party.
Thank you for asking, RR. Everyone had a great time. About 10 people dropped out between a weather cancellation, a Covid cancel (he and his family were so bummed!), and a kids-are-sick cancel. All told there were 29 of us, so a good crowd.

Almost everyone dressed up. The light up floral headbands and hippie glasses I bought were a huge hit, as were the disco lights and other decorations. Everyone loved the food, but even so there are oodles of leftovers. No worries on that score - my kids will drop by to pick up some.

My older grandchildren were such a help. GS (11) circulated with a tray of appetizers and then desserts. GD (8) showed the kids the toyroom, kept them contained in that area of the house, and even cleaned up afterwards! I gave them each $20 as an expression of my gratitude to them.

Thing that mystifies me about parties - everyone seems to have a great time, but almost nobody hosts them anymore. DD hosts Thanksgiving and usually has fair-sized birthday parties for her kids, but otherwise, no. DS hosts a big Easter Day event - a tradition passed down from DH's family. All other parties - family and otherwise - are hosted by DH and me.

Parties thrown by people outside the family? Rare as a hen's tooth, and nearly always showers or children's birthdays.

My parents and people their age had numerous parties when I was growing up and in my twenties. Yeah, they're work and somewhat expensive (this one probably came in at $400), but I'd much rather treat people I love to a nice evening together than go away for a weekend.

I'll keep throwing parties for as long as I'm able...

Sounds wonderful. You have sweet grands, too. Nice sized crowd. Yes, no parties anymore, not that I had lots, but 8 or so for dinner was something I enjoyed now and then . People are different today, as I am also. Thank goodness there's hosts like you guys still around!

I love the idea of your hippie glasses and lighted flower head wreaths!
I'm sure the food was delicious.

Thanks for telling us about it!

You are the HOSTESS with the MOSTESS……Hats off and CHEERS to you for being the perfect party hostess.💐💐💐💐💐💐💐.

Well I decided I would do nothing today but a friend who just does not know one end of her computer from the other called with printer problems so tried to help with that.
No success over phone so will have to pay visit next week when weather is better....was not looking forward to that.

However, I did get a phone call from UK which did lift my spirits.

The story is that I met an English lady friend here a long time ago and we kept in touch over the years.
We did trips together etc., etc., and never got in each others way.
Just one of those nice comfortable friendships. Her husband, also English, had died and left her very comfortable financially .

She went back to UK when her health was giving some concern to her stepdaughter there so she decided to go back a few years ago and I did miss her a lot. We kept in touch by email for a little while but she passed over a year ago and so that was it until the stepdaughter called me today and said she had left me a little sum of money in her will.

It is not large enough to do anything crazy with but it sure will help pay for taxis when I have to let my car go which will be soon and my rent has just increased by about 60 dollars a month. So just came at the right time for me.

Just felt I had to pass this along. Sometimes life does surprise us in good ways even at this late age.

Did the trivia game, Swiffered the bare floors. Doing the laundry.

I'll finish the laundry, talk to my language partner, and done for the day.

I have two comforter/duvets. The combination is perfect, except ... One comforter isn't washable. So I wanted a duvet cover for it.

Yesterday I got a duvet cover at the thrift store. Last night I was sweating. I switched things around a bit, and we'll see how that works out tonight.Resize_20230226_182725_5216.jpg

Awww shucks. You're too kind.

As my mother used to say, if you want to go to a party you have to throw it. I do love a good party so I throw them often.

This morning I received several lovely thank you texts from guests, including very nice ones from my kids.
