A guy from DSS came over to collect my Medicaid application. Went over it with me and helped me make copies of some extra paper work I needed. Nice guy, in his 30s who gave me a slight insult by stating how well I knew technology for my age. Yep...I was doing technology since before he was born. The whippersnapper

We're gonna get your rain tonight and tomorrow morning. By the time I'm off work, it will be clearing or maybe already sunny. Yippee.
 
Oops. I forgot to tell y'all that I'm home. Did you guess?

DD and I did our Walmarting as soon as I got off work. I did just fine until we got to the check out, then sort of ran out of gas. Didn't know if I even had the strength to get out the door. Obviously, I did or I wouldn't be here. Right?

Walmart's garden department is starting to get their flowers. There were two pots of Gerber daisies that jumped into the cart and followed us home. I planted Gerber daisies yesterday, but they looked to me like they wanted more company so it's lucky that the Walmart ones came home with us.

Still have to plant cosmos, polka dot plants, coleus, ornamental blue fescue, begonias, stock, purple salvia and I don't know what all else, but first I gotta get my second wind.

DD found a hanging pot of strawberries. Swell idea! It'll keep the squirrels out so she'll actually get strawberries.

It's very warm. 80 already. Yesterday we hit 84. 🥵 Nope. Not complaining, just stating a fact. It'll cool off a bit after tonight's rain, but still in the 70s.
 

Okay, it's noon. I guess I'm ready to gird my loins.

Shower, eat lunch on the balcony. It is a nice day, so maybe I should stay out there for as long as possible. Right now I feel that sunlight is therapy.

*Maybe* some exercise. Dishes, etc. Blah.

Talk to my language partner tonight, and done.
 
I just came in from the rain. I got the eggs (3), checked for mail (none), and fed Andy. Although I didn't technically check the fences all of the way around them, I did go along one side of each fence as I went to & from the mailbox. That's all of the checking that they are getting, today.

Other than that, I've done nothing but sit/lay around all day.

Dio's temp has slowly been coming down all day. He thinks he will be ok to go to the rink tomorrow. So far, I'm expecting to go also...unless I start feeling worse, or my temp goes up.

With that in mind, I will wish you all a good weekend!

Dio's temp is down to around 100° and holding. He says that he is feeling better, but......I'm not so sure about that. He never complains!

It's a rain day. Andy just settled in for a nap. I think he has the right idea.

Yesterday, I made simmered chicken with slices of fresh garlic, for dinner. No fingers were added to this recipe.

Well my visitor left about 7pm.. they attempted to repair my Mac.. and it seems to be running better, but it;s still not working correctly.. they just couldn't figure out what has gone wrong with it because there's nothing obvious, and it's a relatively new Mac... anyway they're going to come back on Monday morning to help me hang some pictures.. so they'll no doubt look at this again..

It's almost 10.30pm.. I've got to be up early in the morning for the 2 hour drive north..on a very busy motorway... Once upon a time I used to enjoy driving but the roads now are so solid with traffic.. it's nerve racking you've got to have your wits about you at all times.. and that's not counting watching out for Speed cameras which are dotted everywhere... . It's not that I speed.. but when you're doing the national speed limit 70mph.. and then it suddenly changes to 40.. and the speed camera is there ready to catch you speeding.. and then a few hundred yards later it changes up to 60.. and again more speed cameras.. and so it goes on, up speed, down speed.. cameras everywhere..it takes all the pleasure out of driving..

Sat outside for quite a while this evening while the soft breeze played over me… delish 😊

the three tulip poplars in my front yard are budding out, soon they will be he wonderful shade trees they are every year. I have great plans for tea with friends under their sheltering arms.

in the mean time, there was a very industrious woodpecker somewhere in the top branches, beating out a rat-a-tat tattoo to beat the band. You’d think you could spot something that makes that much noise but I never did see him. 🤔😛

all cancelled unfortunately. Got up at 6.30am to get ready... but DD's elder dog who has dementia has been very poorly, vomitting etc so she's scared to leave him alone... so we've postponed this until next weekend now...
 
Im having a quite weekend , its raining and my only visitor is away for the weekend ,

Raining here , a new Blouse just been delivered and Ive put it straight in the washer , it had a smell of tobacca, whether it was the Material dyes or if someone was smoking round it , not sure .

right now....I'm confusing myself with all this computer issues...
signed in today and realized I had lost my home page and e mail again, and got confused as to proper password to use....think I'm getting too old for this pc crap....ah well...have

Good Morning! It is 30 degrees here this morning. I had a long list for today but instead will stick to mostly chores I don't have to be on feet for. My one knee is giving me a hard time and I think I need to rest it a bit. So will be doing computer work, sorting through some paper piles (they are back again!) and working on my 2 MP3 players. The MP3 players are beyond my scope of knowledge. So learning while doing on those things.
 
Well, it's Saturday and my husband will be working a half day so... I'll probably hang out online for a while, hopefully (if he's up for it) play chess with my son and, also hopefully, do some yoga or get on the treadmill for little stints (I'll take even one little stint.)

Remember the days where you'd have to have a paperback book, magazine, etc. or simply wait, contemplating the meaning of life, the universe and everything.
