Welp, dunno why I am up at 4aM but there ya go!!!! too
early to plan anything....hair cut lady came by last eve and
made me bald again LOL....coolish at 47deg F this morning,
but no rain...have a good day, ya hear !!!! ;)
 
Busy one today... going to pick up a grocery order and gas up the jalopy. Then the recycling center, doing a few prep things for Easter dinner, and writing a couple of letters (handwritten, no less!) After that there are bills to pay and hopefully some spring cleaning tasks. Then it will be bedtime. (y)
 
Overcast day, but not cold.. . Everywhere is quiet, most people seem to be away...apart from the people who are STILL drilling and digging out my deceased neighbours hedges... :oops::oops:

I've been up to the Barn and cleared it all out of the stored winter items...

Taken delivery of some fertiliser and moss and weed killer..

Changed the beds..

..and it's not quite 2pm yet.

I've no intention of going out today.. tomorrow is supposed to be very sunny, so I might go and hunt down Bluebells in the woods.. to take photos of..
 
I'm home early because I worked smart this morning. The store was crazy this morning even in the cold and rain. It must have been crazy after I left yesterday, too, because the bakery shelves were bare. Bare, I tell you! Cleaned plumb out.

I also worked smart in advance for tomorrow. Instead of making one tray of whatever, I made one tray to bake this morning and another of the same whatever to put in the cooler to thaw and rise for tomorrow morning. Filled up tomorrow's rack so that all I have to do is roll it into the proofer, then bake and package. Congratulations to me. Let us hope that I don't break my arm🦾 patting myself on the back!

It was a cold and rainy morning when I got up at 4. The temp was a nippy 43. But now? It has warmed up to a balmy 44. Still raining cats and dogs. I can tell because the street is full of poodles;). I probably won't be working in the garden today🌧️☔.

I'm thinking of getting jammied. Yup. Not going anywhere this afternoon so why not? Jammies are comfy.

DD had a peace lily by a window in her living room. Her new kitty has decided he likes to lie down in it and look out the window. It used to be a peace lily. Now it's a cat lily:ROFLMAO:.

Waiting for daughter to be dropped off for a visit today. We will see her Corgi, Abbi. SIL is dog-sitting
today. Unfortunately, no pets allowed in our building :(

Abbi gets very excited to see Nana, as I always have a slice of apple or cheese for her :)
 
Rain pattering on the roof...

15 Bean soup (with sweet italian sausage crumbles and ham cubes) simmering on the stove. The ingredients for Spice Cake setting out to come to room temperature before assembling and baking.

the 2nd 1/2 of the hot cross bun I bought at the new bakery in town is warming in the oven, will go well with the cup of decaf Guatemalan coffee I'm sipping on.

Fixin' to settle down with a good Whodunit on Amazon I'm feeling like a episode or three of Morris/Lewis or maybe an Agatha Christie adaptation. 🕵️‍♀️
 
I'm beginning to get Cabin Fever.. serious cabin fever. Really restless, really need to get out of these 4 walls .. well this whole area for a break away from the same old same old. I haven't been away since 2019 ... then came Covid, then my marriage break down .. I'm fed up .😫😫.. but now is not the time, while all the kids are on Easter holidays...

Well, right now, I'm holding an ice pack on my eye....my "good" eye.

I was sitting in my lounger, bingeing on "Call the Midwife" and I decided to also do some working out with my resistance band. Unfortunately, it slipped off my feet and gave me quite a whap! right to the eye.

No serious damage done as I can see fine out of it but I'm getting a good black eye.

Exercise, they say. It's good for you, they say. Bah humbug! I'm taking a nap.

And people will ask you what happened and then say “right”. I had a ski accident and another at home. Both times got these sarcastic reactions. P…d me right off. I hope all you get is sympathy.

In my building, a tenant is allowed to have one small pet of our own, that is listed specifically (and with a large security deposit)....

However, absolutely no visitor may bring in any cat or dog for a visit, no matter what the circumstances.:confused:
Also, none of the residents' pets are allowed to go into any other apartment, even to cheer a neighbor.:(

I am thankful to have mine!
