Delighted you were able to see an MD that took the time to listen to you and really look into your situation, @hollydolly Glad you got meds that will help 🤗
Thank you CS..I have to say this is the first Doctor in years who hasn't ushered me out after the ubiquitous 10 minutes. She got me on the couch examined my legs asked lots of questions, pulled a chair up next to her desk and got a diagram up on the computer to show me where she believes the problem lies...

Fantastic..just like the old days

Developed a weird sore throat last night. Not a normal "hot" feeling sore throat, more of a tickle. And cough. There has been something going around, but I don't know if this is it. Could be change in weather, mold from flood, etc. I have a few meetings coming up and don't want to make anyone sick.

I did my exercises yesterday (a minimal amount, but I did what I said I'd do). I'll try to do the same again today.

Spend time on balcony, read book club selection, talk to language partner this evening.... Hmm, I could clean the bedroom.

Another boring day. 🤷‍♀️

I'm home. A little rain this morning. The sun is trying to come out. My grandmother used to say that if there was a patch of blue sky big enough to make a pair of man's pants, it would clear up and be sunny.

Tired. Worked alone today. My name is on a list of employees who haven't completed the most recent training videos. So? I work in a production department. That means I'm supposed to produce. There are six hours in which to produce eight (or more) hours of work. And I'm supposed to complete training videos (four hours) exactly when? (On a day off, of course! That's what I was told. On. A. Day. Off.)

A regional manager of something or other showed up at 9 this morning, looked around at the four racks of bakery products that I'd baked so far but hadn't packaged and astutely declared that we can't get the bakery work done with just two people. According to her, we "need to borrow someone from the deli to train" so that we can get help when we need it. Really? I think the deli she referred to was our own deli. You know, the deli that often has a sign displayed that says "Closed" because they don't have enough people to open. Yeah. That one! LOL

Combine that with last week's instructions for all departments to cut hours. Mmhmm. I don't like corporate BS pronouncements and amthisclosetotellingthemwheretoputtheirgeniusideasforgettingthejobdone.

Except payday is nice. I like payday. I like the nice green🤑 color of money. And the nice green🤑feel of money. And the nice green🤑 way it spends (or saves).

>le sigh<

Today was like a summer day. The high was 87, real feel 93, so I took the train to the waterfront park in Hoboken, N.J. It's on the Hudson River, right across from New York City. I ate lunch then walked the promenade and put in about 3 miles considering the walk to and from the trains. The park is a great place to people watch. There are folks walking their dogs, mothers pushing their babies, people jogging, children playing in the designated area and one lady was sleeping on the bench, almost "planking" with her head to the sun like she was sunbathing. There were plenty of shirtless young men, young women with shorts and some with fitness pants that were waaaay too tight. There were also vendors selling their wares; one was selling small paintings. Another was selling Italian ices which I opted for on the way back to the train station. I chose coconut, it was just the right consistency and very refreshing. When I was getting off the train to go home, a young man said "You look sexy". I smirked, said "Thank you but I'm old enough to be your grandmother". Now mind you...I was wearing sweatpants, a long sleeved tunic top and of course, my hair was covered.

I want to give honorable mention to yesterday since I fell asleep before I could post about what was a very productive day.
~I washed clothes about 2 a.m. This always involves disinfecting any surface me and my clean clothes will come in contact with, including the outside and rim of the machine, the faucet handle and laundry cart.
~Loaded and ran the dishwasher around 8. I don't do it while neighbors are sleeping, even though I suspect they can't hear the loudest part of the cycle.
~Walked downtown to get another plastic tote for my clean laundry, stopped at Taco Bell for a Chalupa then it was on
to the Amazon Hub to pick up my package.
~When I left there, I walked over to the supermarket to pick up a couple of items.
~After eating my Chalupa, I dried my clothes and put most of them away.
~My son sat with me and broke his fast while I filled two pill cases.
~I also made a couple of business calls.
I'm exhausted reading your reply:)

well! I went to our gift shop and adjusted the books, removed the garbage, went to the grocery store, power washed the patio, took my dog to the park and weeded the garden and removed a dead azalea. :)
It's time for a nappy

Well, now, I am exhausted, after reading your reply!
:giggle::LOL:(y):)

I had an exhausting outing for a medical appointment, today, but very thankful to have managed to get to it.

Enjoyed seeing a few things outdoors, while on the ride, to and fro.
Forsythias in the area, are in their early Spring blooms of bright yellow! And a few (very few!) trees that get flowers before leaves....
while most everything still has the very brown, wintery look.

Very happy to see our own Spring bulbs coming up, near the doorway! :)
And some sprouts coming out of the ground, of the perennials, in our flower bed.🌷🌷🌷🌷🌞:)

no @Kaila .this bush is not edible for humans , but they smell and look like a proper blackcurrant , I will take another photo when the fruit is on ,sometimes Blackbirds eat them .
Thank you very much, for this reply to my question! I haven't been online much, recently, but I was interested, so I am glad to read about that beautiful plant of yours.

I can picture how the blackbirds would descend, suddenly, on masse, for those berries.
In my area, people have to cover their blueberry shrubs with netting, so that the humans can have at least some of the fruits of their labor, for growing and tending the plants.

In my earlier post I said I would buy myself something nice and while nice isn't exactly right I would say it was a 'good buy'
Since the thumb caper I cannot use a regular size knife. The handles are too long and heavy. The forks I use are for salad so they are okay.
I ended up in one of our local Goodwill shops and guess what.
They had a whole slew of cutlery in a box and I found five knives with black lightweight handles a little shorter than mine.

So get to the desk expecting to pay at least a dollar each for them but guess what....assistant said the price was ....99 cents for six knives.
I was happy enough with five....but wait ...that is not all..
I got 10% senior discount so the grand total rounded up was .90 cents.

Oh yes, I did buy some food too...:ROFLMAO:

Walked to a grocery store this morning so I could have lettuce on my sandwich. Laundry. Started moving winter clothing to the spare closet and warm weather clothes into the main closet. Time to get tough on myself and get rid of some items that don’t fit really well. Another walk. Now it’s time to make dinner.

I put vinegar and baking soda paste in the oven last night. The dish of scalloped potatoes had an overspill in the oven. Almost all the baked on spills from months past were easily wiped away. There are still a couple of spots I will hit again. This is the easiest way I have ever found to clean an oven.

Working on the floors now, the trees are dropping these yellow wormy looking things that always come each spring. Big dog brings so much of these stuff in on his coat. I try to dust him off before he comes in. He thinks I want to play, proceeds to jump and roll in the stuff. So we start over LOL.

The middle dog, little terrier needs a good bath and a hair trim. I will try to get that done this evening.

No cooking needed as the fridge is filled with choices.

It's going to be a lovely day today. 80F or maybe more. Some seeds I'd ordered came yesterday so those are on the agenda to be planted after work this afternoon.

Meanwhile...it's off to the bakery to...bake 🥐 and stuff. Mostly cookies. We need cookies. Lots of cookies.

Y'all behave while I'm gone.

I will do everything today that I did not do yesterday. I am feeling good this morning which is surprising to me since I went shopping yesterday. Usually the day after is a recuperation day. Must be the warm weather is making a difference. Right now just having coffee and checking out the forum. I wasn't online much yesterday.
