What are you doing today 2023

Sitting under the trees in my yard, enjoying the bird song and the breeze; sipping tea and just reveling in the glorious (read that pleasantly-warm-but-not-humid) weather! Y'all must get tired of me saying that. Give it a few weeks, it will be Deep Summer and this bliss will be no more. =(

Headed to my granddaughter's house for our weekly visit. We finished one book and I've asked her to pick the next. But if she can't come up with one, I'll have Tom Sawyer at the ready; I know my kids adored it. Twain is brilliant.

When I mentioned this book a couple weeks ago as a possibility, my granddaughter exclaimed, "Tom Sawyer?! Is he a Lawyer??" Hahaha, come to think of it, Tom probably would make a first-rate lawyer when he grew up, haha.

She would have tried to get me to purchase the special dog foods for overweight dogs.

By the way his sire was about 30 pounds when we saw him.

Well, the 2nd visitor of the day has left...lady with same agency
as the guy but she is an OT person, check my pulse, bp, again...
and looked at house set up,. said i had wisely purchased things
for my use that other seniors don't think of...no excersis with
her tho, next visit to be some sort of excercise...lorddy, don't know about all this stuff......:pand called my friend to take me to derm doc next wed, turns out she has app't in same building different doc about same time...so kill two old birds at same
time!!!! :D
 
I had a wonderful day today. Today my niece on my Hubby's side of the family called and said she was near our house and could she come to see me. I got so excited to see her. When she was visiting me she brought up something from the past. She said she would never forget when I watched her for 3 days when she was 7yrs old. She said the first day I took her out shopping for things she might want. On the 2nd day, she said we just sat and I hugged her. Then the 3rd day she said I could call her Doctor and say she would go to see him. When I called the nurse told me something that shocked me. She said "I give you a lot of credit for watching her after she tried to commit suicide" I was shocked, didn't know that,
So today she asked me why hadn't her Mother told me. I said I don't know why.
 
The garden isn't done, but I finished the section I worked on yesterday. 14 more sacks of mulch, and dang! that stuff is heavy. I'm tired. Worn out, I tell you. My eyes are crossing and glazing over. I can't quit yawning.

Even if it's a nice day tomorrow, I don't think I have it in me to do anything in the garden...certainly not dig/pull weeds. My fingers are sore!

It's only about 7:15 and broad daylight, but I'm headed for my nice comfy bed.

Maybe I'll have the strength to post something profound tomorrow. Or maybe philosophical. Or not.

wow what a story - reminds me of the story of angels who watch over us - you may have had some then helping? but it sounds like you did a very successful job yourself - the angels were there just to catch any fallen hair lockets? I bet you will never ever forget that one! just had another thought - maybe it was a little test?

I love waking up to the sound of gentle rain against the windows... which is what happened today. But then I get up and the reality hits that with it raining like this, I can't even get outside today, so I will be having an indoor day. Maybe I'll try to get a freelance article or two worked on before I get even rustier. Good morning, all! 🌷 (Do I smell croissants??!! 🥐 )
 
Good Morning! Probably doing one load of laundry and hanging in my bathroom to dry. Vacuuming and then not sure what else. Rewriting my budget sheet for May since I had to make some changes. I will try to get outside for a bit today. Need to be in the sun.
