@hollydolly
I am sorry that you've had to go through all of what you described in that post, on previous page... about the hard drive, and the rest of the similar experiences with him, etc...... :(

I would like to read more posts, right now, but am not able to. Extremely worn out. I had a very draining appointment, and DH (past 90) has some worrisome symptoms, suddenly. I am feeling stressed. Just checking in here, with all of you, kind folks.
Thanks for being here. 💌💌💌💌💌📮
So sorry for what you are going through Kaila. We will be here when you need us.

Morning all.....made it thru the nite...it was ruff tho...the reason I hesitate to go urgent care, or E.R. is due to past experiences with both agencies.....lousy enuff to put me off of using them
except when violently ill...and I'm not there yet....slept off and
on last nite, but here it is bright and sunny out, so will enjoy
the day the best I can, without griping too much....have a
great day......;)

hank you for the ideas. We're figuring things out as we go. I think things are going to get better.

Interesting to see how every group is different. I don't want a fiction book club. I don't usually read nonfiction on my own, but I listen to astronomy podcasts (in Spanish).
Truth is, the books are little more than an excuse for a social night out with a group of women. Yes, we all enjoy reading, but Goodreads and other internet sources (including SF's reading threads) provide plenty of recommendations.

Total new knee replacement after trying all the new gimmicks to avoid it.
Cushion jel
Steroid dose pak plus injections
I got zero improvements from all of them like NONE, lots of pain now, can't walk without assistance, can't drive. Just an old cripple here.
It was rough doing a small plumbing repair today but no leaks at all and all done.
You will have pain now…..but it will be over with healing time……and…..it will be well worth it.
Have had both knees done…..one in 2014…..one in 2016…..and it was well worth it.
The pain you have now is from all the nerves, muscles, ligaments, knitting back together.
Make sure to do your exercises, rehab…..is very important…..also cold therapy helps with swelling.
Don’t push it……have patience.
You are not an old cripple…..you made a good decision in having this done.
I was 56 with the first knee…..and 58 with the second knee.
Wasn’t too long till I could drive again with the right knee…..you need to be sure you have proper control for the gas and break.
Walking with assistance…..walkers, cane, etc. is for your safety and will help with recovery.
Stay positive…..you’ll do fine.

today I went through all the meaningful people I had lived with ; worked with ; played with ; socialized with ;holidayed with and slept with and then realized that I had spent so much time having 'my fun' that I'd missed theirs - still there's always next time around isn't there?

At 6 AM now, baby grandson is still asleep... no middle of the night waking. Even so, I didn't sleep well. He's 16 months but just as when my kids were small, when he's on my watch overnight I worry endlessly about sudden infant death syndrome and can't sleep soundly.

At 4:30, I cut bait on trying to go back to sleep, got up, made coffee, and decided to hang out with you peeps for a while!

Have you considered that they were having their fun while you were having yours?

well that is clearly possible of course but wot I was trying to emphasize and possibly should have used bold was ... I missed theirs - I wasn't infering that they weren't having fun ; just that I missed it?
Isn't it possible that you noticed it at the time, but your own experience was more indelibly imprinted in your memory banks?

go for a bungalow D,,its my first,i have no regrets, helps my legs no end
Jet - your place a view of the ocean ? reminds me of an old friends place ; Mynytho ; Pwllheli ; Gwynedd with distant ocean views like yours ; she died some years ago and atm her home is vacant and was once on the market. I was quite amazed to find that they had included a video attachement to the sales page which with just a click a camera moved silently and gently through the house from front to bedrooms to rear - quite moving really - I felt strangely close to her although many moons apart!

Would like to finish up adjusting my new bike but the weather has been terrible here. New med I’m taking for my back is helping but upsets my stomach. Always something. Probably another day on the iPad and watching tv.
I am glad that med helps your back, but I wonder if there is some way to change how or when, you take it, so that it might not upset your stomach. Possibly ask the pharmacist for input on that? 📬💌

Also I hope the sun comes out, and your weather improves.🌤️
If it doesn't, perhaps consider moving to someplace like Florida?:giggle::LOL:;)

Second half of yesterday was a bit rough so today is a recover day for me, which means I won't be hard on myself if I don't accomplish anything. Today is about breathing and one moment to the next.

Which sounds all heavy and all, but it isn't; I've done this before and will do it again. Just breathing through life. ♥

@hollydolly, if you could send a horse or two over though, would speed up this peace-finding process considerably. ;)
