@Been There Pick a charity that you respect. They’re definitely not all created equal. If they don’t pick up at your house, make a few trips to deliver it. Or spread it out among a few that you know.
 

Looking at the photos of the eggs benedict turned my stomach but it reminded me of when I lived in Toronto. Every Sunday my friends and I would go for brunch up the CN tower, the food was delicious EB being one of the dishes. Being a revolving restaurant added to the fun. Now when I visit I really enjoy the mandarin and am very sad that they do not have this restaurant in BC.

I don’t mind dropping them off, but I would like to give them to an organization that gives the clothes away and not sells them.

There may be places that provide clothing for people needing clothes for job interviews. Somehow yours may be out of the age group they’re catering too. Depending how dressy, there are also young people that need nice clothing for graduation night.
I donate to a place than I absolutely know the money goes to a worthy cause. Even though they sell, the money supports those that need it. I find it a balance.

This is JMO, I will not give to Value Village. They’re a for profit business.
 
cleaning the driveway,ready for a sunday knees up with rest of the lane/road,,,marquee comeing end of week,,tables sorted sunday morning,food and drink when it starts in a/noon,,,,,gotta clean up now,as might not want to do it when i come out of hospital after biopsy grrr,,,oh thats nice its started raining grrr

Didn't sleep very well last night and was up at my normal 4-ish time. I even have had time to take a shower this morning since I don't have to be at work until 7.

Supposed to be sunny and cool today, and the howling wind should whisper today rather than howl. Yay. Might, big might, play in the dirt this afternoon.
 
Ive just been pottering outside , when I could hear a commotion up in the sky , a Crow was seeing off a Red Kite , the wing span on these birds are about 6 feet across.. Red Kites have just come into my area from down South ,I saw one last year in the Belvoir Vale. so its on the move.

I don't like crows but good for it seeing off the Kite.. we get loads of Kites here.... They're nice to look at when they're flying I have many photos I've taken of them... but they do swoop very fast from a great height the second they spot prey..
 
Going to be another beautiful day.
Usual cleaning chores.
Having quality coffee time with a friend this morning.

My front and back yard is now officially sNOw free !!!!!!!!!!
Will get my mower out of the shed, get oil for changing and gas.
Bring out my deck chairs and little tables from the shed.

Garbage bins go out tonite for early morning pick up tomorrow……have some things to gather for garbage.

Do outside time with the sun.
Mustn’t forget……fetch games !!!!!!!!!
 
Morning breakfast clubbers!!!! A Sunny day out, but coolish
at 43deg F, up to 65 later on they say....wow had a ruff nite,
but just myself to blame as I've not gone to urgent care....
going to try to get some aloe vera gel today I think it would
help the itchyness/pain some...I've used it in the past a lot...
Otherwise have a bit of laundry to do, no other big deals, oh
and my excerecises....saw some foxes hunting across street
last nite, funny this is there were 2 rabbits in my backyard!!!

It rained here all day, so I did what you do on a typical rainy day. I cleaned out my closets. I never realized I had so many clothes. I have 4 walk-in closets and they were all full. I now gave 2 completely empty. A lot of the stuff is still in its original packaging. I’m not sure what to do with it. Do I call someone? When my 3 kids were still quite young, and their clothing was no longer hung on infant hangers, I happened upon a great sale on plastic tube hangers (24 for $1, or something equally ridiculous).

Bought a whole bunch in different colors. Black for DH, lavender for DD, aqua for one son, navy blue for the other, salmon for me, and some white as fill-ins. At subsequent sales, I eventually bought enough for everyone's clothing and to have extras in the laundry room hanging pole.

This served two purposes:
When I did the laundry, I separated what was whose, so they knew which hangers to grab to put their clothes away.
When I started running short of hangers in the laundry room (and there weren't empties in their closets), it was time for that person to purge clothing.

Fast forward 30 years, The kids took their hangers with them when the moved out; DH & I still use ours. When I get short of hangers, we clear our stash. It's worked out to be an excellent system on all fronts.

I comprehend. Just thought I would add, that some of the places that sell them, it is an extremely small price, and just goes to help them to keep their operations going, for the benefit of all, and not for any extra profits.
