well now's your chance... :D...it always happens to me.. everytime I find a really good someone..usually after lots of not good someone's.. they take off after the first few times I've been to them, to pastures new... even my Best Doctor did it.. the only doctor in the practice who listened to anyone... but yep hairdressers, et al... I've constantly got to look for new ones..
 

The last time I got a cut the stylist to a razor to my hair, she did it so quickly I did not have time to do anything to stop her. I was completely peed off as I told her right at the start no razor, I wanted the layers to grow out.

So I found someone new, had a great cut two weeks ago but this stylist agreed that a razor should never be used on fine hair. Maybe by Christmas before it grows out.

I hate, hate, hate when hairdressers don't listen to instructions like: please don't cut the bangs, I want the back a little longer than the sides, and finally - just take an inch off.

I'd rather go more often than leave the salon looking like a shorn sheep!

Feel better Pepper. I hate when I have the dreaded dread feeling.
 
I usually respond much later in the evening after I've done all I can do for the day since I often wind up not doing what I planned when posting early in the day. But I can be certain I won't be doing much more tonight. I went to the supermarket around mid morning, came back and made an easy lunch. I had been wanting french fries for months. I decided rather than pay $2 for one order, I'd buy a bag of fries with several servings for $2.49. I bought Shoprite's store brand, Bowl and Basket crinkle fries and they were good! I also bought a small box of White Castle sliders, so I had a slider and fries for lunch.

After lunch, I took the recyclables to the dumpster area and walked to the UPS store to return my Amazon packages. I received a call from my friend who's working on my video. We discussed possible work arounds that may be necessary due to a surprising problem she's having. Afterward I made a couple of phone calls and watched a little bit of T.V. Tonight I will load and run the dishwasher, play my games and watch more T.V.

I know exactly what you mean Star! Several decades ago I decided to try a hairdresser who was also my neighbor then as well as from when we were children. She gave me the haircut from hell; didn't acknowledge my wishes at all. And I had to go back to work looking like that! :mad: @Lee

@hollydolly Yabbut...its not midnight in GA, and I hate going to bed when it's still daylight. I dislike that almost as much as getting up in the dark:(

When I got home today I planted the balloon flowers. Everything I bought yesterday has been planted, but there's still plenty of room for more. More, that is, than the space I've saved for the Mexican petunias.

I have this vision of every empty space covered with flowers. Yup. Every square inch. There's just one thing wrong with that bright idea, and that's that there wouldn't be anywhere to step to pull up weeds.

Maybe if there were flowers everydamnwhere there wouldn't be room for weeds?

I love Mexican petunias. They multiply but not enough that I'd consider invasive. Enough to be able to plant around the yard.
 
@hearlady I had about 10 of them, but our harsh winter this year and then not one but two hard freezes early in the spring killed them all. All! If one of the garden centers finally gets some soon, I'm only going to get three or four and fill in the space with bachelor buttons.

It's true for me too, and I thank both you and @hollydolly
for reminding me. I will try to find a way to incorporate some of that, back in at some point, in some way. Either possibly manage a ride to see some, or look at additional pictures, or perhaps, use some imagery. I could also possibly dig out some old tape of ocean or river sounds. (y)

Good morning all , Im sitting here waiting for my shop to arrive , my treat to myself this week is a M&S Coconut and Raspberry Cake , I like the sound of this combination,both are my favourites.
After Ive gorged on my treat I shall go a walk down by the River to work off the Calories, Ive a Cliff to get down and up again , theres Steps and rails to hang onto going down if i come up further up river its a winding path , Theres a weir there and some times Birds are suning themselves after a bathe in the River ..

Raspberry and coconut cake is my favourite.. I get it from M&S sometimes, but Aldi also do it....exactly the same one..:D
 
The sun is out now, after it couldn't make it's mind up this morning.

I've got the weeds zapped with weed killer.. got my usual chores done.. and I'm just about to go and mow the front lawn. I did the back a couple of days ago, but it;s rained since then, so now I need to go and do the front.. shouldn't take long it hasn't grown much since 2 weeks ago when I did it last..

Got an Amazon delivery arriving later today.. the precious books that they told me wouldn't be arriving until the 23rd despite having Prime, will be coming today so I'm pleased about that.

I enjoyed my day out yesterday...the usual rounds, I did stop in at State Farm Insurance and picked up a new quote on my homeowners insurance...it's getting down to crunch time to make a decision on this......I'd rather be out mowing...everyone have a wonderful day.
