What are you doing today 2023

I'm feeling really sluggish and headachy today...weather is slightly overcast...

I've just changed the bed, and put on the summer bedding...

I've got way too much bedding tbh.. I should just donate a big load of it.. but the charity shops don't take Duvets so that means a trip to the recycle centre with a perfectly good, clean duvets.. it's such a pity really, but I'm running out of space to store so much
 

Yesterday……had some good time working in the yard yesterday……the smoke started getting heavy by lunch, so called it quits at noon, and went back out after supper, was better then.

Packed up half of my things in my curio cabinet…..maybe do the rest this afternoon.

My wee girl, Shaalee goes to her groomer this morning at 10:30.

Outside time won’t be till later or after supper.

My local animal shelter was happy to take my old duvet , an old blanket and some large bath towels .

Yes, they told me they keep duvets away from dogs but they can use for other small animals
My Irish Setter from a long time ago ripped one to pieces while we were out at work and daughter at school.

It was her duvet and the bedroom was a total disaster with the down stuck to just about everything including him.
Wot a mess !!!!

That must have been a very disheartening scene to come upon.

Like you, I donate towels and blankets to our local animal shelter. One only needs so many rags.

I have an animal shelter just minutes from where I live.. so it's easy to drop linens and towels in... sometimes they get overwhelmed tho' .. so then I take them to the charity shop, but no Duvets. The recycle centre has a dedicated Huge Bin just for Duvets and pillows
 
The sun came out about 2.30pm.. so I went out and cut back the Ivy which had grown a lot since just a few days ago.. the garden waste bins get emptied tomorrow, so that was quite timely..

It's very warm now.. people are walking around in just T-shirts and shorts, compared to this morning when they had coats on..I kid you not...
 
@hollydolly Lemme tell ya about ivy in the sunny South. Copperheads like to live in it. Ack! we have a whole hillside of our side yard growing in ivy and have to fight to keep the darned stuff at least five to six feet away from the house. It's a never-ending battle. The roots grow underground so it creeps up and gets into a space right close to the front door.

I don't like copperheads one bit😱

I do miss it long. It’s still below my shoulders. Kinda looks better I think. Gotta love those wrinkles right? Lolol
 
@hollydolly Do y'all even have snakes over there?

This morning I was greeted by the lady who's worked for the company since forever. Now she's gonna be in the bakery. Maybe. So...I leave at 11. She's scheduled until 2:30. Hope I left her good instructions and enough to keep her busy. Just in case, I gave her my phone # so that if she has questions, she can call me.

According to Sir, they're trying to get rid of her because she has a "bad attitude." Since she's always wanted to work in the bakery, my guess is that they put her in exactly the place where she wants to be. If that's the case, they missed the boat. It was crummy of them to schedule her for a new job where she'll be left alone for 3 1/2 hours! I'm gonna knock myself out helping her to be successful and an asset. Heaven knows we need all the help we can get.

The Give Away sites on FB, etc would have someone who covets them. Knowing you, they’re top quality and immaculate. Depending on how you feel about someone coming to your house, you can offer to meet them in local spot.

The other option is Women’s Shelters. They’re always trying to set up home for people.
