Hubby & I are off to buy flowers for our parents' graves.

I forgot potting soil when we took the dog shopping for a new harness.

We. clean around the headstones, place 2 bags of soil down .
Cut them open & plant the flowers .

We take the curly saw dust & mulch around the flowers.

Weather forecast for tonight is for frost.
Won't be planting any today.

Watered everything in yard. Bagged some peas I blanched and froze on trays last night.
Will wash car, grocery shop. Think about Memorial Day weekend. Get little flags out to decorate barrel of red, white, and blue flowers. Going out of town again next week so prep for that.
DH home tomorrow so cooking today. He will have completed 4 weeks of treatment!!!

Well I finally got out, but can you believe it's the only day this week when there's been no glorious sunshine..boooooo !!

I drove to 3 different towns... dropped off 2 bags of Donations to Isabel Hospice... Had my nails done..

excuse my swollen knuckles I'm having a painful OA flare-up.:(.the nails do look nicer than that in real life but I'm having problems with my photo uploader at the moment... it's just taken me 20 mins to get that photo on here.. not fake nails as it was suggested on here recently .. but my own, which are professionally manicured and painted

Anyway.. cloudy and muggy as can be.. I hit every temporary traffic light at roadworks today.. on almost every road I drove on.. good grief.. 😣

Had lunch at the pub with my friend.. then after I left her I drove to yet another town closer to home, and did the grocery shopping in 2 different supermarkets.. Took a dress back to the store as well.....amazingly most places were relatively quiet, usually traffic and shops are pretty packed, I can only put it down to there being a holiday this coming weekend and week.. so maybe people are saving their money to go away..

Apparently tomorrow is going to be a sunnier day so hopefully I'll get doing something in the sun 🌞🌞

You had a busy day @hollydolly!
I have, and except for the roadworks and traffic hold ups, I was able to get things done really quickly because there was so few comparatively... people around. For example at the first supermarket I was able to park immediately, usually there's no spaces at all because it's a free for 3 hours car park, so even people who are not shopping there, but going to other places , restaurants and other stores, park there.. but today there was loads of spaces so I didn't have to wait for a space... I got my nails done as soon as I got into the salon.. again no waiting, .. and so on.. so it was surprising just how much I did get done in a shorter time due to less people around. It's 3.35pm now.. I went out about 10am.. got back shortly before 3pm

Morning folks!!! Bright and sunny out there...59F outside,
slept okay till about 4am....wish I could get couple more
hours but oh well...got a friend coming to take me to the
bank, get some cash to keep on hand...just in case it all
goes to H in a week....feel pretty good 'cept for aches and
pains.....have a great day !!! :(;);):whistle::devilish:

Yesterday I vacuumed with my new vac again. This time I did an intense job on my upholstered couch and cushions w/ the attachments. 😧 Then I vacuumed the places I missed yesterday on the carpet. It was warmish yesterday and after my labor I felt so hot, I put the A/C on!

My back started aching, so I put off doing the loveseat and cushions until sometime today. It's much cooler, only 55 degrees and sunny.

Windows open, I can hear the crew cutting down more trees further down the road. 😠 We do/did have many trees in my condo community but they are so large, the insurance co. wants some cut down in case they damage some homes.

The awful vines attacking CT have climbed up several and all but killed them. I begged for vine control, but they don't understand.

May run to Aldi for coffee for some odds and ends.

Took my car to yet another garage to diagnose the steering wheel vibration. They said it could be caused by a bent axle and bad tires (said none of my tires were round :unsure:). Just to get it over with I told them to do the work - almost $500. I had a scary moment when I got out my checkbook - they said they don't take checks except from established customers. I mentioned that I had stopped there numerous times when I was working and had to pass by the place. The clerk said that if it was over 5 years since I stopped, I am no longer considered 'established'. When I mentioned the former manager's name, they relented and accepted the check. Now I'll have to keep the car another 3 years!

@Sliverfox Frost? Frost?

@hawkdon While you're at the bank, get a little extra cash💰 for me, too:)

It's a perfectly perfect day! Sun's out. No wind. I started playing in the dirt as soon as it was daylight and only just came in a little while ago because I got too warm in the sun and because I was dirty. Dirty is what happens when one plays in the dirt.

Planted the flowers that DD made me buy yesterday, spread more mulch, deadheaded some flowers.

Now I'm all showered, clean clothes, laundry laundering. And I'm gonna have SOS for lunch because...I like it. That's not what others say, but what do they know?

Tires are seldom "round". That's why they have to balance them.
