What are you doing today 2023

the trouble with the back is that where the one hedge is on one side.. the ground is very uneven.. that creates a problem with the ladders because it can make as much as 3 inches off the ground for one or more legs ..so I bought some Rubber ladder levellers, which work well and keep the ladders steady on the grass..
I do know exactly what you mean, about ladders of any size, used on even-just-slightly uneven ground; it was an issue with DH for years, in the past.
I have not heard of rubber levelers. I will look that up, just out of curiosity now, unless you've already got it on the other thread.;):geek::giggle:

I'm continuing going through boxes of stored stuff in my basement that mostly belonged to my parents and one sibling (all are deceased). Some of it has been easy but then I hit an emotional bump and can't decide what to do with a book or some piece of pottery or a decorative item so I stop. Then there are the boxes of papers. My Mother saved a lot of documents that are no longer needed so I've been shredding those but I have much more to go. But I need to marshal on.

You've sure had a series of challenging events! It's good to see you, when you are able to post updates, for us.:)
Thank you @Kaila
I am so far behind on reading posts, and knowing what's going on with everyone, that I'm starting to feel like an outsider. It was nice of you to make me feel like I still belong!

The ladder I use to clean gutters has feet to level it, but it's the kind of ladder that leans up against something. Wish I had a tall step-ladder.

I'm home and have watered the flowers. DD watered some of them this morning so I only had to do about half the garden. Yay because it's too hot to be out there long. Smoke from the Canadian fires is hanging around again today. Combined with the heat...ugh!

I swear Sir is quiet quitting. He helped me package some breads this morning (only took about 10 minutes), went to the freezer to get some things I needed, then disappeared. ??? I was done around 1030 and left. Sir was nowhere in sight.

Tomorrow is Rocking Chair Money day so the afternoon will be spent paying bills in advance. When that's done, maybe I'll just lie around and veg. TV. Solitaire on line. Pet Maggiecat.

@Naturally Well...the smoke is in north Georgia for sure. Funny thing is, though, it's only during the day? Huh? Yeah. It cleared up yesterday about 6-7pm and is supposed to do the same today.

Another thing...I didn't get a Powerball ticket. I'm a Mega Millions player; the Mega Millions jackpot is only $640 million.

...or afford to pay a gardener... :sneaky::D

How are your eyes feeling today ?
True on the gardener. On the tree project you did mention you liked the look of young hunky guys doing your bidding.

Cataract surg went fine yesterday morn. I went today for a followup and they said all is good. I already like the better vision, even though it's still a bit blury in that eye.

Being driven crazy by my stepfather. He wants me to call him every morning. "I'm almost 94" OK what do you want me to do about it? Found him a new vet for his cats. Wants to go to the lawyer and get my brother off the durable power of attorney. He has some old age paranoia that my brother is going to show up at his place. From the other side of the U.S.. Hardly. My brother could care less. He only plays like he cares.

He needs to understand that if I drop dead before him from all the stress, he'll then have no one. But he doesn't think this through.

Now he's focused on all the crap he took from my deceased mother but appears to have no care or insight on how it affected us as children. He was an adult. He doesn't seem to care. I've told him to get my mother's ashes off the cabinet and interned but he feels afraid to do so. Like she still controls him. He mentioned taking them to Lake County because she liked it there. I told him "no way am I driving over there."

well they weren't all that young.. and I wasn't ordering them around..I think I just made a humorous comment about there being a lot of good looking beefcake in my garden for the first time in ages.. believe me I'm no closet Dominatrix..

It's here again, too... so far I think we're just a Code Orange, but last month we went to red and I'm expecting it again. I woke up at 2 a.m. and knew it blew in again although it seemed to be clearing up yesterday afternoon... I can tell when the air quality is very poor.

Hey, @Naturally , you realize that if you win that cool billion, you're gonna have a LOT of best friends?! :sneaky:

...well.. you can all try and be his new best friends.. but he will stick to his old best friends like me.. :p:sneaky::LOL:

Left around 10am, went swimming with daughter. At 12:30 we were looking great with our fresh hairstyles LOL!

We had to look our best, photos were required for New Railcard. Thankfully, neither of us broke the lens 😂😂😂.

Then, grabbed Morrisons' salads for lunch with Cherry Colas and two of the softest buns to accompany the salads. Desserts? Daughter found a 4 pack brownies with icing. Yum!

We're now filling the form. Still have to pick up our Kitty kat wood pellet litter. Can't get it delivered. Here's why!

The delivery at that store begins at £3.95. Once I'd chosen online the items I was planning to purchase, it went to £9.95 PER ITEM... Today, went to store. Holly smokes and geez whizz... £20 PER ITEM.

Seriously???? So, going to store later on, will put one in each trolley bag, get back home £18 spent woohoo no delivery charges. If the guy does it to scam, he's going to be on the losing run, I'm afraid!

Just wish Cat Litter was cheaper on Amazon. They deliver for better prices, and sometimes it's free... Wee bit fuming just now😠😠😠

Remy, I’d let him get your brother off as fast as possible. If your brother decides to interfere with anything, you may be the one who is the most inconvenienced. Heaven forbid that something happen to you before your stepfather, he can then have your brother put back on.

(This is what I meant to say to you when I misplaced the quote.)

This morning around 5:30 was awakened by the birdies, stayed in bed until 6:15,got dressed walked to store to buy NYT
As I was coming back, ran into a young girl,Felicia who I met a couple weeks ago who was walking her adorable 7 month old dog, Rex who is part greyhound& some other mix. She lives in apt building 2 houses from my apt building Her building are rented apts ,they allow pets . Rex recognized my voice, tail wagging as he pulled Felicia to me. I forget how sharp his teeth& paws were, I was happy to see him vice versa
After breakfast, I walked to 6 blocks to the bank, then the next block to Walgreens. It was partly cloudy, smelled a bit of the smoke from the Canadian fires, took the bus home
I didn't go outside this afternoon due to the air quality alert, the sun had come out was breezy temp was 80
