Maybe it was real raw milk?Nope. And not sweetened condensed, either. It' been almost 40 year, and I still haven't figured it out!

Ach, Ihr Deutsch freut mich, @Georgiagranny! Bitte kaufen Sie colombische Kaffee Bohnen mit der Milch! Das schmeckt so gut! (In order not to upset anyone: Your German makes me happy. Please buy Columbian coffee beans with the milk (cream)! That tastes so good!)@Old Salt 18% coffee cream. I'll try it. The coffee on Lufthansa was auch genau wie in Deutschland (of course!)
If Costa make coffee, why does it taste like glue? They're not really closing Costa.. just a couple being renovated according to that article. Costa is waaaay the most populalr Coffee shop in the UK.. all others would close first. That sai..altho' I like Costa... I prefer Cafe Nero...
One man's (Woman's) glue is another man's (woman's) nectar, and I can't speak for the quality of their coffee since we don't have Costa in Canada! Just saying tastes differ! If Costa make coffee, why does it taste like glue?
What a wonderful and dedicated woman. I'm sure she will be sorely missed by a great many people. You couldn't have wished for a better sister. My heartfelt condolences to you and family. On the phone with my brother. Our little sister passed away this morning.
Cathy was a registered nurse and worked all the up until she got sick.
She was 66 and never enjoyed a single day of retirement.
Found a lump on her breast and was going through chemo therapy.
She'd had an adverse reaction to the chemo drugs and they were adjusted.
Cathy didn't complete the chemo rounds.
Cathy was admitted to the hospital just yesterday, because of the continuing adverse reaction to her chemo treatment. She did not do well last night. She was on a ventilator and experiencing organ failure. The doctor said there was a higher chance of her not surviving than surviving. Well, they got her husband, Jesse, up to the hospital this morning. Jesse is 81 and recovering from broken hip and broken leg surgery. They couldn't get Cathy's blood pressure up. They took her off the ventilator and she passed away peacefully.
It all happened so quickly. Here one day and gone the next.
Last pictures of Cathy. She sent them to me a couple of weeks ago

I don't know about the machinations, I just know whether I like coffee or I don't. I rarely get coffee from Dunkin but not because I don't like it. Often I have my drink with me or when buying from the one near home, I'll sometimes bring my food back and have my instant coffee. I've used Folgers instant decaf for years and though coffee connoisseurs may think it's sacriligeous, it's what I like. I mostly use Coffee Mate sugar free hazelnut creamer or sometimes regular cream.I can't stand the new coffee beans being used by most outlets! Well, relatively new, it's been going on for years. When I tried Tim Horton's coffee when they first appeared on the scene in Canada I was in heaven. Tasted just like the one that Momma made over in Germany. Colombian Beans, smooth, mellow. I was in heaven, then the change to a coffee bean more bitter and biting.
I bought a Melitta Filter machine, tried every conceivable bean ... no satisfaction.
Drank Instant Coffee for the longest time, wasn't overly keen on it but it was no worse than the new brewed stuff! Then a Keurig! It has been resting on a shelf for months, same reason, just didn't taste the same as the coffee I grew up with no matter which bean I tried. Even Colombian coffee didn't taste right (to me)! I gave up on my daily coffee in disgust and had Chicken Noodle Cuppa Soups by Campbells instead.
Now here's the kicker. My younger daughter gave me a jar of Nescafe Rich (Colombian) Instant Coffee for Christmas and I thanked her but let it sit there for months, because which connoisseur drinks instant unless they are desperate.
A couple of weeks ago I had a coffee craving, made a coffee with this "inferior" stuff, and you guessed it. It tastes just like Momma's (Mutti's)! I am in heaven, the jar is empty already and I had my daughter take a picture of it, just to ensure that the next one is identical!![]()
Nat, I'm so sorry to hear you lost your little sister, Cathy. On the phone with my brother. Our little sister passed away this morning.
I bought Folgers years ago because of their great advertisements. Their Jingle is going through my head as I type this, but still preferred Nescafe. I really liked "Taster's Choice" but couldn't drink it because the cream invariably curdled. I wasn't keen on their regular instant coffee either (as I wrote in another spot) but it was better than Tim Horton's. The only donut and coffee chain in Canada at the time. I have seen references to Almond Milk, if I remember correctly. If you've ever had it, does it taste like real milk and can it be used in lieu of milk when it comes to recipes?I don't know about the machinations, I just know whether I like coffee or I don't. I haven't had cow's milk in so long that I can't compare almond milk to it. But I've been drinking almond milk for maybe a decade after switching from soy milk, which I also used for about a decade or more. I use almond milk in tea (sometimes), recipes and drink it "straight". I have had no issues doing so. I switched from the expensive name brands to Wholesome Pantry, which is a store brand affiliated with a large northeastern region food chain...Shoprite. You've never had the fudgiest fudge in 3 minutes with condensed milk, a 350g bag of chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Pure Heaven!*Ugh*...I Hate condensed milk..it's disgusting...![]()

Wasn't it called Second Cup? Used to grab a cup Vanilla flavoured coffee on way dropping Munchkins at school. And... yes, I'd have a second cup on way back lol!One man's (Woman's) glue is another man's (woman's) nectar, and I can't speak for the quality of their coffee since we don't have Costa in Canada!
