What are you doing today 2023

Today……kinda in a celebrating mode……I can hardly believe I’ve been in my new place 3 months today…..soooooooooo veryyyyyyyyy happyyyyyyyyyy here.
Almost feel guilty being so happy……almost……not.😉.
And on the reality side……the usual chores, walking, etc.

I've had a rough day, today. Struggled to get to an appointment, and they were a no-show.:eek::mad::cry:
Struggled to get back home; then struggled to try to recupe. Well, I won't go on, you get the drift.:confused:

I am pulling myself together, this past hour.
A few of the threads even made me laugh. WHew!

Helped DH to make a list.
Feeling thankful for food and a nap and for 🐱.
And for this forum!
(Which means, all of you!☺️)
 
Today we had the balcony people drilling concrete and that decided me to get of my bum and go out.
Well I did and one place was Value Village and wow have they jacked up their prices. Anyway I did pick up a couple of things, get to the checkout and hey!... there is no checkout counter. They have four do it yourself checkouts !. Not for me with my problems..
I just dumped and left.

So that ticked me off enough to drive to our local Danish Shop who make the best raisin buns and just to make me feel even better I bought a package of six Almond Tarte Deluxe. I have already had one of each with coffee and this has totally put me off the idea of dinner but that is okay.

I am too tired to do anything about it. Just gonna do my favourite thing

They sure have raised those prices. Just stand at the checkout looking lost and they will come help you. There’s usually one counter in a separate area that has a clerk. I’m avoiding VV because it’s not worth the aggravation.

Has your Shoppers Drug Mart switched to self-checkout too. One clerk, 25 seniors in line on Thursday discount day. And there’s always a person ahead of you with 25 lottery cards to cash in and choose new ones.

Oh yes I am done with Value Village too and as a matter of fact I was in my local Shoppers today and yes they had one counter with the clerk, It was not busy so no problem.
Ahhh...know what...I am beginning to dislike this world as it turns.....very, very, much.:(

After that it will be day three... sheet rock replacement and taping. A different guy. That will be 2-3 days.

On my early morning walk at 6:30 certainly felt like autumn,temps was 50 but refreshing
As I walked back to water plants/flowers in our garden saw a couple squirrels chasing each other up the tree
This afternoon around noon will stroll over to Marcia&Dave's house dog sitting my 'buddy boy', Tage. Its always the highlight of my day or week whenever Marcia calls to ask If I'm available
He's such a sweet, loving dog
 
I'm home. Hard morning at the baking mines today.

Looks like my schedule is going back to 6-12 again. Sigh. Not forever but until either we get another pair of hands (sure:ROFLMAO: in my lifetime?) or until they decide what to do about TL.

Gardening stuff to do as soon as I gather my wits and stuff.

It's one of those days like @CinnamonSugar described a few days ago with the "different" light from summer, and we probably won't even hit 80 today. Gotta love having the a/c off off off!
