I got a free ticket to visit any national trust property of my choice... what is the National trust you may ask...

What does the National Trust do?

There are many places countrywide to choose ( around 500 ).. some are free..some are quite expensive to visit... I have this ticket to use until the 20th of October.. so I'm going to have a good browse at where I can go....

ETA my ticket covers up to 2 adults and 4 children..

Do you know if your league plays using the same diamond measurements and rules as American baseball? I've cheered on some Aussie teams when they've played in the Little League World Series. ❤️
 

Welp, I'm back....from hospital that is...yep, went there thursday
mornning, due to dizzyness....had the local firefighter medics take me....up shot is, that after hours and hours waiting, blood tests, bp test, etc etc, there was NOTHINg wrong with my heart...went thru cardia cath exam and no problems showed up at all.....so now got to figure out why I'm having these dizzy attacks !!!!

Wasn't in the mood, nor in the best of health, but had no choice but go out for groceries. Got the meat packs (every end-beginning of month): rump steaks, KFC copy chicken pack and beef stir-fry strips for fajitas plus lasagna.

Got the funkiest tin of soups today and it was delicious, "Spicy Parsnip" and Chicken Noodles. As we've given up cane sugar almost completely now, we're savings on our regular sodas.

Needed battery packs and bonus an amazing Energizer motion activated light 3-4-5k lumens battery powered. Put the magnets on side of top cupboard and it lights up the whole kitchen, very pleased.

Plain darn forgot to check another store for a 12-pack small Weetabix box for autumn breakfasts, bummer! Didn't want 36, they'd go stale before we'd get halfway through lol...

It's cold today, had to put heating on for half hour. Thankfully, the house retains the heat but we're still waiting on windows replacement for one room...

Same dimensions, same rules. There are US players who come here and play in the State League. They live with team members for the duration of the season.

Yes, there are kittens in this apartment now. Funnily enough, they look like the emojis 🐈 🐈‍⬛
We will spend today getting to know each other. They are currently in hiding, so I'm gonna starve them out!

It's been my custom to remove the dry food early in the morning; let them wonder where it is, then at around 8 make a big fuss and some noise celebrating the arrival of a can! Always worked with the others. We'll see.

The difference in having kittens now? I'm old. Can't grab them fast enough, can't get down on my aching knees to find them.

We'll form a new type of relationship. My grandson loved playing with them yesterday. They were all so happy! My son is visiting me Wednesday. He is off this coming week, so I won't be picking up my grandson. My son will give them good play, too.

Me? I'm all washed out. I'm exhausted. Ringo & Gidget (and she is abnormally small, so the name is purrfect) and I will make our own new way and they won't be sorry they live safely and loved here with Old Me.

I could never be a contestant on 'Golden Bachelor'......... too tired to put on make-up!
 
After a rough few days I'm a lot better! I had my Covid jab on Friday and could feel my arm burning within minutes! On Friday evening I came down with bad shakes and cold sweats - then hot flushes and a blinding headache! Yesterday I did a full day freelance photography job and somehow survived it LOL. Got home and went to bed at 8pm. Slept for 12 hours solid and woke up this morning feeling much better!

We've been out for breakfast - smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on homemeal toast for me. Did the 'Big Shop'. Back home and a few jobs around the place done. I'll be needing a nap soon I expect :) Then again there's a very high tide in an hour so may go out with the camera and big lens - see if there are any nice seabudgies to photograph :)
 
It's the first day of the month so I'm starting a new diet as I have done for as long as I can remember. What is it they say about people who keep doing the same thing and expecting different results?

In the past, I used to go to church on Sunday and really enjoyed the people, the music and a good inspiring sermon, but I had to give it up when the stand-up-sit-down-kneel routine got to be too much for me. Now, on Sundays I just listen to gospel music while playing vicious cut-throat hearts online. Not quite the same.

I'm just going to think about Pepper's kittens. Little faces hiding under the couch peeking at the food woman.
