Just can't do it. When I went for fasting blood work last week the appt was at 3;40pm. I always have to explain I sleep during the day, that is early morning for me.
 
Why did I have to get up with the chickens today? It's a day off, darn it. I speak cat so Maggie should be able to speak people. It's been explained to her time and time again about days off. She woke me up anyway, demanding breakfast.

There are gardening things to do today. Anybody want to come over and do them? It's not a lot, just cutting back some iris and daylilies and watering the mums.

@OneEyedDiva Love the pictures. I've been in New Jersey and know how pretty it is, but still have the stereotypical mental picture of nothing but a bleak industrial landscape. Old notions die hard...

By now, @hollydolly has a new "do" and @timoc has two new holes in his arm(s), which is better than two new holes in his head.
 
Morning folks....Slept rather decently last nite, yay....it is 60deg F here now, up to 80f later on ...no rain, which we need...I am off
to the Pulmonoligist at 1pm today, doubt they can do anything
for my breathing except maybe a diff med...anyhoo, thats it

On my early walk at 6:20,wearing my yellow reflector vest as i went to buy local paper
It was warm 70 degrees,wearing knit shirt/shorts which I've worn the past couple of days due to unseasonable warm temps,yesterday's high was 85
I'm walking to Walgreens this morning,have a 9:30 appt to get my Covid shot
The rest of my day may take another walk,then sit out in our community garden with other residents. It will probably the last time we can do this since temps will be in the 50's for next week or so with on/off rain
 
It's just past 2pm..sunny and warm day. Forecast said it would be breezy and overcast so I wore a long sleeve smock top.. and jeans & boots.. jeez I nearly passed out with heat stroke..

Anyway Hair washed cut and blow-dried.. hardly any difference to it tbh.. she took 3 inches off but she only thought it needed an inch off, I disagreed , and asked her to cut more..... but as it's the college Hair salon, and she's just a year 3 trainee.. ( good tho',) I didn't want to hassle her more.. she did a good cut.. I just wish it had been shorter...

after ..I drove over to yet another town and had brunch.. ( all day breakfast) at the pub... before doing 2 different supermarket grocery shopping..

I'm soo tired.. I only had 3 hours sleep last night..and my feet are killing me, because I had chelsea boots on after months of wearing trainers and sandals..

My amazon delivery came when I was out ( Book ).. he left it on the back door step thankfully.. (y)

Doing laundry this morning. Right now one load is in. I only use one or two machines at the most at the same time because there are only 4 total in the laundry room. Don't want to be a washing machine hog!

I am feeling confused about "liking" or "loving" posts and comments today after that thread about it yesterday. Trying not to use except in the picture ones. I feel like I annoyed everyone because I use them too often. I read all the post on here this morning and I like and love them all.

@hawkdon , do you think your breathing difficulty has anything to do with your dizziness? Like oxygen to the brain or something like that?

Kat, you do you. If someone has an issue with others giving emoticons, then it’s their problem. And it’s a first world problem. We’re all different in how we respond to things here and in IRL.

Now this has upset me to read this. I mentioned this on that particular thread when someone else said they felt uncomfortable now posting likes.. ..where I said we don't pander to the minority on this forum like we do in real life..

and One solitary newbie saying they don't like how ''likes'' are given out randomly..is the minority

This is typical.. of the world now.. .. in the real world.. the people move into the country from the city and immediately they start saying the don't want the cock crowing.. and the church bells have to stop pealing.. and grandpas generation long farm has to go because the roosters are annoying them..and before we know it..that little country town is no longer recognisable as the little country town.. instead it resembles the big city where these people have just arrived from, supposedly looking for change.. ...

sorry but IMO ...anyone ..new to the forum as this poster is.... who made a big song and dance thread about ''likes''.. is like those Big City folks wanting to change things as soon as they get to the country ranch.. and are escaping to somewhere that is exactly like the place they left...

I am a serial liker... and I am certainly not going to stop because someone new to the forum doesn't like it... simply stop giving HIM likes.. and then we can all get back to being how we were (are).. (y)

Correction re: my trek to Hoboken yesterday, I walked almost 3 miles not 2. Today I walked to the bank to get more checks ouf of the SD box. Since I usually only use one a month, I'm good for about two years. On the way I took the bottles & cans to the recyclable bin. My son will be pleasantly surprised because I usually have him do it.

I have to finish putting groceries away & sort laundry so I can get a double load done in the wee hours tomorrow morning. I'm thinking I need to get a little more exercise today, either by dancing or using my mini peddler.

I also give "likes", Kat .. and, will continue to dole them out as I please! I suggest you do whatever your heart leads you to do :)
 
Sometimes I use Likes simply to acknowledge the post. But, I don't at all feel it's expected and often I don't.

I will use Likes if I agree, approve or appreciate a reply. Or to show admiration for an artwork, something funny or pretty. If I don't like the looks of it, I won't post a Like.

@katlupe, don't feel pressured to use emoticons at all! As it's been said, it's entirely up to you.

Kat is not feeling pressure to USE likes she's feeling pressure not to use them or not to use them as much ...
 
I'm on the giving-out-likes-as-we-please bandwagon. Or loves or hugs or whatever all else I darned well please. If there are those among us who strongly disagree or disapprove, fine. Let them go to another forum. For newbies to tell us what they don't like about us...:mad:! There are other forums out there.

Join a club that's been around for years and promptly start telling the members how to run it? Wait a second and see how welcome you are...jussayin'
