Well it's OK, but nothing to write home about. I had found the original recipe online, but like everything else I do, I Bobcat it because I guess I'm just too damn independent for my own good. I keep the necessities and add whatever I think I might like. If I screw it up, then I know better next time and I learn something.

For next time, I would cut back a tiny bit on the baking time and maybe add a little moisture with a ripe banana or some blueberries. I like having a little slice of something like that with my morning cup of coffee. I'm an early riser, so it's a little tidbit to munch on till breakfast time rolls around.

I probably should just leave baking to people who know what they're doing, but hey, what's the fun in that right?

I have always found that oatmeal bread is lacking.....something. I don't know what.

A friend of mine told me that he toasted his and put butter on it. I tried it that way and thought it was much better!

yes as I said....I'm presuming they mean none between 8am and 5pm each day...
Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I missed that entire sentence nestled in that post.:rolleyes::confused:

Truth be told, my brain is very messed up, atm, with an overload of stress and anxiety, this past week, and today. :( It's a wonder I could read at all. o_O:cry:

Just trying to rescue myself, by saying hello, here on this thread, and catching up on a few posts and forum goings- on.

DH and I both having difficulties but hanging in here.

A successful day on the mountain helping my neighbor get in his winter firewood. We filled up his big gooseneck trailer and my truck as well with over 10,000 pounds of oak. It was a lot of work, but he's a great guy and worth it. His wife left him and the kids about 5 years ago, and he has raised them on his own and worked to support them. They have turned out to be wonderful kids because he is such a terrific role model.

He's a great friend and a great dad.
I would do anything for him, and in my opinion, his wife was crazy to go sew her wild oats, and the gal who ends up with him is gonna be one lucky woman.

I did the last of the laundry to be washed in the apartment. I've been at it for 4 days. Using my mini machines is exercise because since I have to manually fill the washer (I use a bucket and basin), there is a lot of bending, twisting and lifting, especially when doing several loads. But it's crazy that I still have laundry left to do! Clearly I have too many clothes and will need to purge and donate again.

I cleaned the bathroom, loaded and ran the dishwasher after the laundry finished drying and put some of the items away. I also found places for things that had been sitting in plastic bags until I could figure out where to put them. This evening I fixed the garbage and set it on the curb since I know my son will be tired when he gets in late tonight from his trip.

I talked with my BFF and oldest grandson on the phone this evening. I love it when he and I play catch up and have long conversations.
I hope everyone has a good night.

Well was laundary this am. Then as noted yesterday, am slowly working on understanding the massive online user guide for my new Sony a6700 camera that is a few hundred pages long, a ridiculously complex photographic machine. Somewhat similar to my 2014 A6000 body that am retiring. So attacked it today like I used to with complex microprocessor hardware with dozens of dozens of internal firmware registers and programmable control functions. One has to read a lot of terse technical sections with understanding.

To do so I concentrated only on the Still and camera MENU setup sections leaving the 4k movie recording MENU sections for tomorrow. While powered up, LCD on in the MENUs, went through each User Guide Menu page. Started my master text file with a crude html copy paste of MENU text in the guide that I modified with tab separated displayed sub-MENU selection shown on the camera as Factory Defaults that I tediously typed in all day. Like as in 250 lines of options and features, and controls so far so.

Later will use that as a baseline to actually start changing settings for my particularly uses, I'll have a template for I can change intelligently incrementally and recheck all values. Some of which are listings of others at the dpreview dot com Sony APS-C web community. And there are already numbers of youtube user setup videos but copying such since there are so many variations runs possibilities of messing up things. For instance there are lots of special setup for capturing moving animals like birds where the focus point tracks. In the end will fit into some kind of more visibly structured Excel file and print out paper copies to use as a camera day pack field resource.

Up too early again...awake since 4am, now 530am...47deg F,
this prednisone is kicking my butt, nerves, shakes, now sleep
problems....hope it helps....take care all...today my house lady
is coming to do her work....friend brought me some stuffed
green peppers last eve, so that was nice.....catch u later....
Is the prednisone in eye drop form? After my eye surgeries I had to use prednisone eye drops for several months. It caused my underarms to become raw...I mean they were pink like pieces of meat. I had to wash using only the palms of my hands and could not use deodorant at all. I put baby powder under there. When I told my doctor she said she was sorry but I had to stay on the drop for a certain amount of time.

Stuffed peppers sounds really good. I haven't had them for a long time. That was very nice of your neighbor. I hope you'll start feeling better Hawkdon.

Hi folks...it is 3am local and here I am wide awakw again danmitall......hope the old bod will hold up under this stress....
The prednisone is pill form, today I drop to two pills a day,
maybe that will help....it is 41deg F here right now, may get into
70's later with good chance of rain....see ya later......

Mornin' folks....

It's 9.30 am...glorious sunny morning,🍁☀️☀️ and I'm just getting ready to go out. Gonna drive North to get a town where they have all the stores I need... rather than having to drive from town to town for individual pieces.. . It's a 50 or 60 mile round trip, but it's ok... it gives my car a run, given that recently I have only been going out once a week... my poor car has been getting no exercise at all..

Gotta buy extra water for drinking because the road is being dug up as from tomorrow, for a week... .. and the water will be off from 8am to 5pm..

In the meantime I will fill several buckets from the tap to use for washing and flushing...

Have a good day peeps...

Bye!

I've been off kilter for awhile now, actually since I picked up these crazy kittens. Don't know how to explain how I feel--shaky, weaker, angry--this last having possibly to do with Israel. I yelled at my DIL yesterday. I've never done that before and I know her 15 years. Wait a minute, I may have yelled once (or twice!) before. I'm on edge.

Today have pain doctor appointment. A month ago had gel shot in left knee. At first it was glorious! No pain, lack of pain! That lasted a week. In the last week, the knee is significantly worse. So, I'll complain!

Louie knicked me on top of my hand on Sunday. Was trying to get away from having his nails cut. He punctured a vein. It's been slowly seeping, hasn't clotted. I am on blood thinners.........Will ask pain doctor to have a look. He is an MD after all. Can just hear him saying "I don't do hands, only spines & knees." Oy vay.

Then, I will put away yesterday's laundry; do a sinkload of dishes. My most important task will be arranging AccessARide for tomorrow to see my grandson. I want to call upon G-d and all saints and angels for that one.

Speaking of angels, where the heck is @Gaer? Really miss her.

Yesterday, Thanksgiving Monday…..
Did up 2 dozen eggs for devilled eggs, a wardolf salad, and a fuzzy salad.
Was a finger food Thanksgiving, with BB ribs…..sorry no turkey…..with everyones goodies, we had a real feast.

But……with all that feasting…..
Woke up with a start of a head and chest cold this morning…..I guess the devil got me. 😮‍💨🤒😷.

@hawkdon, yanno you can still get that purring kitty if she's not chipped and not claimed. Jussayin'

I'm in a snit for sure. A 2023 8-cylinder Snit. Changed batteries in three of my solar wind chimes yesterday. Fresh, new batteries straight outta the package. They leaked. They leaked so badly that they ruined the wind chimes. They'll never twinkle again:cry:. Good thing I deleted the jeans from my Amazon cart because I needed the money to replace the chimes:mad:.

And then? I sent a politely-worded nastygram to Duracell.

Work? Most mornings I feel like I'm juggling hand grenades. Live hand grenades.

The good news is that TL really did apply for a transfer. Yup. Back to the store that didn't want her, but a week ago the entire staff in their deli and bakery quit so they'll take her. Sooner rather than later, we hope.

I'm always amazed with Marcia&Dave's dog' Tage' for some reason he always knows when I coming to the house. It happened again this morning, I was 3 houses away then I heard him barking. As usual when I walked into the living room he was in his crate,so excited to see me,when I let him out he raced around the room, jumped onto the sofa waiting for his TLC
He 'helped' me eat my lunch today,I gave him small bits of tuna fish, petite carrots, we shared an apple. He was content and so was I

Well it's been a rotten day in part.. a day which we knew was inevitable, but didn't really believe would come, as we lost both my adored grandfurkid labradoodles this morning.. furbabies of my daughters' but as much mine as hers as most of you know....I've been very emotional about it all day.. just seems odd not to have them in the world any more ☹️😔😔

I told the story here for anyone who wants to read...

My adored Grandfurkids died today....

Up until I got the news I was having a nice day..it was a beautiful sunny hot day..like mid-summer.. too hot to even wear sleeves..

I drove North and got the supermarket shopping, stocked up on water because the water is being shut off to my road from tomorrow during daylight hours for a week for repairs..

Drove back down the motorway to a couple more towns in my hunt for a Thermos flask... jeez those things are extortionately expensive now.. £42 for one in one store... 😲...

My daughter had been desperately trying to contact me but my iphone doesn't ring or even allow callers to leave a message when I'm driving.. so she'd tried for 2 hours.. before I finally got the call 🥺 I've got to find out how to turn that off in my phone..

Got home, and mowed both front and back lawns, because the garden waste gets taken tomorrow.. so I'm hoping this will have been the last mowing of the year..

Well that kitty just left with the animal control person....she will
be scanned for an i.d. chip, if no owner found she stays 5 days
and then put up for adoption...I've got a feeling owner will be
looking for her, ....she spent most of morning on my lap!!!!:D
Oh, Hawky, I wish you could keep that kitty. She already loves you. It sounds like you belong together.👨‍🦳😻 If no one claims her after 5 days, would you want to adopt her?
