Counting my blessings and probably making a phone call or two to figure out what prescription changes were made by the new resident who I got assigned this week actually put through.

My insurance will now let me choose a regular GP if I find one taking new patients, so I'll have to get on that next. Medical mergers and acquisitions sure make a mess of things.

I know what was discussed in my visit this week and I can make out the hand-scrawled sheet this new Doc gave me, but the meds list they printed as I checked out didn't show any changes!

I guess I'll check online against first to see if medication changes have slowly trickled through before I call.

It's no wonder people need help with this stuff. I can't imagine being in a state of mind where I was not "all there" 100%... and still navigating the mess without incident.

Morning gang !!! Well I am waiting for my pain pill to kick
in, decided to bend and take it for the issue with my left leg,
it feels like it is in a permanent cramp, making hard to walk or sit.....otherwise no plans for the day...got my golden/gray locks
all cut off last eve so I look like a gray bowling ball....have
a great day all.....:D:devilish:

After a bit of digging in the HP cupboard under the stairs, and found very old oscillator heater.

Date of purchase: October 2000...

So, tried to install it, had all the parts. However, due to age it smelled strongly of smoke. I only saw DOP after turning it on. Better not risk it for a biscuit, it's now in the recycling bin.

Onto browsing search online to find affordable one to replace that old one. Bummer! We thought it was a more recent purchase. As it's electric, better be safe than sorry!

Planning to go order Halloween party foods in weekend and look for wall-hanging type flame-patterned heater.

Otherwise back to watching seasonal films. Later!

I woke up with excruciating back pain. I probably strained it yesterday delivering meals - those food hampers can get pretty heavy. It's not the food, it the hot bricks that are placed inside to keep the food hot. I've taken 2 doses of ibuprofen and it's helping some. Friday usually means chicken nuggets and tater tots for lunch, so I'll be heating some in the stove.

The sun has come out, and it's almost warm. Yay.

I left 15 minutes early today, even though everything wasn't done. Sir came in on his day off to help me. He's a prince! I'd have had plenty of time to finish without his help if TL had condescended to package stuff that she left from yesterday.

Breads and rolls that we make every. single. day. She made none. Instead she baked croissants that she didn't bother to package. Oh, goody. Day old croissants. What?

I just popped back to apologize for being so.....

Enjoy your weekend! Hugs to all of my SF friends! 😘

@Trila You can be crabby if you feel crabby!

@Jules All TL's stuff has been documented. She's thisclose to being disciplined, then fired, union member or not! The other day she clocked in on time, then fiddled around in the break room, started a conversation with our version of an HR person. When asked if she was on the clock, responded that yes, she'd already clocked in on time but didn't "feel like" going downstairs to the bakery to work. She was told in no uncertain terms that if she was on the clock, she'd better be working and get herself to the bakery.

Apparently she's been clocking in on time since she's been here (June or July), just hanging out upstairs for 20-30 minutes every day. What? Guess she's one of those "nobody wants to work" employees :ROFLMAO:

Stopped in one of the small towns headed west to stretch. A beautiful Siamese cat came over, very friendly…

…and apparently shedding to beat the band— this is what my brown pant legs look like now…

So I guess I’m making a stop somewhere along the way for a lint roller 🙄😆

Kick her to the curb!

Ilya, my Russian sheet rock guy finished yesterday.

Today we have occasional rain, 61F. I got Doggie Delight out for her main walk between the rains.

I don't usually get groceries delivered, but today I relented and got things from Aldi (Instacart) for later today. Geeze, on top of it all, 3.99 delivery, 7.38 service fee, tax and 3.00 tip. I am less than 2 miles- if that, but I just couldn't face hauling bags today, too achy.

I want to make a Moroccan-style soup I saw on YT. Plus, I want to put a big pork shoulder into the crock pot w/ BBQ seasonings.

Pork is the only meat I like in the slow cooker. I do use it for a family pack of chicken legs with its bone-broth for Doggie.

I have so much more cleaning and vacuuming to do, but here I sit.

Hubby & I went out to eat in a tiny village .

On way back we stopped at the local Goodwill.
I found a pair of jeans for $11. They will need shortened.

Since it stopped raining hubby has gone off to cut more wood.

Mac & I are kicking an old plastic , oblong juice bottle around for him to chase.
Once he's burnt off energy I'll go back to catching up on mending my old jeans .

That must be your term of endearment when your doggy has been delightful. What is his/her given name?

My 2 year old is named Ember but when she has delighted me she becomes "Emberlicious".
Oh Mark, I love "Emberlicious"!

My dog's given name is Boudica, after the warrior Celtic queen.

Boudica or Boudicca queen of the ancient British Iceni tribe, led a failed uprising against the conquering forces of the Roman Empire in AD 60 or 61.

Hahaha, more than you wanted to know.

Hey, "Boudilicious" sounds good, too.

I am at our cabin in the woods about 90 minutes from home. This will most likely be my last visit till spring. I am enjoying every minute, curled up with my books, curled up with Mason (German Shepard) and Oliver, my faithful, loving cat. Oh yeah, my husband too!
Sounds IDEAL !!! 🏆
Side note: My 12yr old doggie companion is also named Mason, but not a GS. Named after his breeder.
