Today has been off to a roaring, happy start.

First off, the scale rewarded my discipline: the 4 lbs I gained on vacay have been fully shed. Yay! And not a moment too soon because my annual physical was at 9 AM. BP in line (104/82 no meds) and my health appears to be good. I'm feeling fine, no complaints.

Hit the lab in the same building after seeing the doc and within 5 minutes the phlebotomist drew my blood (first stick with no wiggling the needle around). 5 minutes later I was in my car and having my first hit of caffeine for the day.

Came home to have a belated breakfast and another cup of coffee, and to see what's happening with you kids!

I am getting ready to go to the store and pick up all the goodies for making some different soups. Our temps are going to drop into the 40's this weekend. Time to bring out the dutch oven for the fall/winter season.
I have somethings but need some vegetables, carrots, celery, cabbage on the list.

Have a great evening!

Today I am looking for a place to go to learn how to be a good grandmother to a granddaughter. I have 3 grandchildren 2 boys ages 26 and 28, and a 13 yr old granddaughter. My Grandsons said I am PERFECT however my granddaughter says I am annoying and that I say I love her too many times,

Tell your granddaughter it is HER FAULT you love her so much because she is so loveable. Works for me!

Still stalled out with getting the house ready for son's short visit/turkey hunting.
These rooms need the vacuum run, than moped.

Looking out the window at blue skies & puffy white clouds,, teasing me to come on outside.

Ladies I need suggestions for a light lunch,, hubby has asked for one.
We've had goulash, baked beans & ham loaf, meatballs, chicken nuggets.......??

ive been to Town, treated myself to lunch, It was cold out everyone in Winter Coats ,
I also wore my Gloves .
it;s sunny here , warm in my SW facing garden, so I can never judge the temps outside unless I go out... I know the temps are 56 F.. so not many people wearing gloves and heavy coats today who are passing by my window... .. cuz there's heat in the sun..

When I need to lose some gained weight I follow my personal hybrid version of Kempner's diet and along with my regular WFPB. way of eating.

I count on that, Hols!

Had an uncomfortable night's sleep after yesterday's RSV vaccine. The doc said the discomfort from this vaccine is generally greater than a flu shot but nowhere near as bad as Shangrix. I planned today to be a lay-low and recover day with nothing pressing on my docket.

Morning folks!! I'm late I guess, just goofing off today, had a
call just now to set up scan app'ts, however after waiting on
phone for 10 mins I hung it up....my time, not theirs....feeling okay, but still shaky as hell...another day another dollar......;)

@JBR When we had fluffy sNOw, we'd use the leaf blower on it.

I'm home. Sir took his regular Friday off. Working alone is hard but not nearly as hard as having TL underfoot;) I understand that now she's not coming back until Tuesday or Wednesday. Pardon my outright meanness, but she often goes to Acapulco. There was a hurricane there this week. If she went, I hope she was considerably inconvenienced. Karma.

Interesting idea.💡 Well, we live on a small rural acreage in a mountain valley. We have a lot of tools, many with small motors (electric drill & saws, etc) all the way to larger motors (snowblower, rototiller, ride-it mower)... but a leaf blower we have not. We have such a great amount of leaves that fall to the ground, from a sizable maple tree and various fruit trees, that it wouldn't be a tool that could help.🥴

Went on the usual Friday hike with the club I belong to. Today we hiked in the woods at an Agricultural History Farm park. The Farm had a garden of a couple dozen patches of different colors and types of Dahlias, they were very pretty. The weather was ideal.
