I think I'm suffering from time change hangover.

Slept in until the usual time so that means I got extra sleep, except I went to bed extra late. Guess I got the usual amount.
Ran into WM for three quick things. Got in the fast self-checkout for small orders. Had to wait because “this purchase must be authorized”. The place was busy and the two staff were trying to help a man who didn’t have a clue how pay. After 5 minutes, I was feeling frustrated and kept thinking is it so they can ask me if I’m interested in a credit card. Sure enough it was and I actually made a comment about them delaying us for that ‘damn question’. BTW, I don’t normally get annoyed with staff or swear. The fellow didn’t seemed shocked by my reaction so others must be doing the same. I’m going to fill out a survey this afternoon. No, I did not have a satisfactory experience.
It’s a beautiful day so I need to get out walking.

9.30pm...can you believe I slept most of the day away ?...
Went downstairs at 3pm, and fell asleep on the sofa watching TV... woke up after an hour or so, and still felt rotten.. then after I got up and did a couple of things I realised I still felt rubbish, so without even making a cuppa tea, I sat back down , and fell asleep again at 6 ish.. and didn't wake up until after 8pm...
I still don't feel right.. but not quite as poorly as earlier.. got some kind of lurgy by the feel of it..

I tried to read a few posts here, till I realized I was many days behind.
Thought I would leave this short post, to say hello to all of you today.
I have had too many challenges lately so haven't been able to focus, or read or wrote posts, but I am hanging in here.
Just trying to do the most important and doable things, each day.

One of my daughters has been working in mainland China for ten years. We have visited her several times, and she comes home 2 to 3 times a year. I just received her Christmas flight schedule. Flying from Hong Kong to Los Angeles non-stop is just under 12 hours against the earth rotation but with the prevailing winds and catching the jet stream. But the flight back takes almost 17 hours non-stop flying against the winds. Flying East you gain one day, while flying West you lose one day at the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean that is the exact opposite of Greenwich/London.
In China, my daughter lives in a large apartment on the 22nd floor of a high-rise building. I still remember, I paid $500 so she could take her dog with her to China. Now she makes enough money to be self-supporting. She has in China a higher standard of living than she would have here at home. But because of rising tensions, she is planning to come home permanently.

I didn't do much during the first part of the day except play a couple of games on my phone. I watched the S2 finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and very little news coverage. My son and I put in some studio time. We spent a couple of hours, going section by section of one of the first songs I composed. My son had showed me how to mix using the instrument's features when I got the first Clavinova.
It's important to me that the version we're working on is almost identical to his mix. Before this evening, we had already spent hours working on it. I'm very pleased with what we accomplished tonight......we're almost there.
After I check out a few posts here, I plan to watch Ep 3 of Queen Charlotte (Netflix).

I'm up and trying to adjust my brain so that I won't mind cleaning up the garden. It has to be done. I have to do it. And I need a haircut.
Lemmesee...if the garden gets done this morning, haircut can be done after lunch, then I can blue my hair when I get home. Right.

I have been up for a couple of hours drinking coffee. After my neighbors wake up I will vacuum my apartment. In between house cleaning chores I am working on a box of photos. Organizing. Sending some to different people mostly cousins.
It is 28 degrees this morning and I was cold. Turned the heat up a notch or two.
Yesterday I was surprised by a telephone call from my brother! He only calls me when he needs sympathy for something or to brag about something. I don't call him because he doesn't want to hear about me or my son or my life. If I call I feel like I am interrupting him and he wants to stop talking. If he wasn't my brother I would not be friends with him. But he is my only sibling and I still love him. I just overlook his faults. I always did, even when we were kids. At least he called me so I am thankful for that.

One more doctor today to see if I can get some back relief. If he can’t, or won’t help me, I done. Getting sick of the runaround every place I go. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Appointment today at 2 pm.

It's not quite 7am yet, and I'm already bored silly.

I don't know yet, woke up around 4, sick, won't go into the repulsive details, managed to get back to sleep till 5:30. I think I'm feeling better, who knows anymore?
In decent mood though, and I cherish the times I don't feel bad about something. It might be a good day, I will try to make it so.

I'm just rambling, getting things off my chest today. Regarding the treatment of independent authors. If you want to read, welcome. If you don't, I understand and thank you!
I'm sort of reflecting on certain aspects of indie author's situations. I've perused the internet, trying to find where to promote my upcoming series. It's appalling at how, we the writers, are prevented from telling potential readers about our stories...
Many so-called social platforms are just sites to antagonise others while thinking they're anonymous. Which is why I've left many.
The goals are to help promote each other, not saying things like: "Sorry, but I don't read that style, blank blah, blah... It's unhelpful and hurtful to others.
I've read a style a while back, out of my comfort zone and I gave a great review to the author. We've been lifelong friends since, coming on 20 years now. We Skype often.
Another one that was exchanged between authors and it was boosting both our morals. When it comes to helping out others, it's also expected to receive the help as well, Reciprocity, of course.
Going back to search once more to find my niche until I launch my series in time for holidays. Thanks!

is getting more difficult it seems, so maybe spend more time
on the nebulyzer, tho not real sure it is helping any....so catch

Trying to come up with a simple craft idea for my grandgirls to do when everyone is here on the 21st (our ‘Thanksgiving’). Older girl is the artsy one…. Don’t know if I can get the younger one to participate. Maybe something with cinnamon sticks?
