Today is clean out the closet day…. Can’t wear heels anymore, so any outfits that require heels need to go.

Hope to get Ed out for a lunch outing

Trying to come up with a simple craft idea for my grandgirls to do when everyone is here on the 21st (our ‘Thanksgiving’). Older girl is the artsy one…. Don’t know if I can get the younger one to participate. Maybe something with cinnamon sticks?
Outfits that require heels can be paired with boots and flat heels. If they're the maxi kind, aka covering your feet, once again go for comfortable flats.

Instead, keep your outfits and change the type of shoes. Get rid of pencil thing high heels for court shoes with max 3" heels, some out there are very fashionable. Good luck! No need to drastically get rid of good items just accessorise to suit your age and comfort levels. Cheers!

I'm just rambling, getting things off my chest today. Regarding the treatment of independent authors. If you want to read, welcome. If you don't, I understand and thank you!

I'm sort of reflecting on certain aspects of indie author's situations. I've perused the internet, trying to find where to promote my upcoming series. It's appalling at how, we the writers, are prevented from telling potential readers about our stories... 😤

Many so-called social platforms are just sites to antagonise others while thinking they're anonymous. Which is why I've left many.

The goals are to help promote each other, not saying things like: "Sorry, but I don't read that style, blank blah, blah... It's unhelpful and hurtful to others.

I've read a style a while back, out of my comfort zone and I gave a great review to the author. We've been lifelong friends since, coming on 20 years now. We Skype often.

Another one that was exchanged between authors and it was boosting both our morals. When it comes to helping out others, it's also expected to receive the help as well, Reciprocity, of course.

Going back to search once more to find my niche until I launch my series in time for holidays. Thanks!
As a composer, recording artist, I have used CD Baby for years to publish and distribute my music to various platforms. They have somethng for authors to do the same. I don't know how feasible BookBaby is for your purposes, but check it out. I don't doubt there are similar venues for authors. BookBaby makes distribution to Kindle, iPad easy for independent writers

I saw this online and thought: That's me! (the one on the right, with the droopy hat!)

I'm starting to feel better. Now I'm at that dangerous stage where I feel good enough to do something....then regret over doing it, later. Yesterday I "laid" around and did nothing. Today, maybe I'll "sit" around and start writing out some Christmas cards. It's really not too early to get the ones done that go out of the country. 🎄 I guess it depends on how I feel, later.

Welp. This getting older stuff sux big hairy donkey balls. There's a vast difference in what I want to do, what I think I can do and what I actually can do. About a third of the garden is cleaned up. Maybe I can drum up some energy later to do more. Or not.

@Trila, my hat never droops because it fits perfectly over the point of top of my head.

Well as I suspected after all that sleep yesterday on the sofa I was up all night, and actually didn't go to bed until 9.30am this morning..for 3 hours... and I feel worse for doing that...

I think I might have to try and get a Doc appointment, that's a major feat in itself.. but I only ever go when I know there's something quite wrong...and I have a lump which has appeared in my abdomen .. been there now noticeably for about 2 weeks, and is getting more pronounced and more painful when I cough or sneeze..

Today is sunny, but cold... This week I have to get the pneumonia VAX.. and also my dental check-up.. glory week...:LOL:

Did some yard work. I vowed last summer that as soon as it was cool enough, I would get rid of those thorny creeping runners that are taking over the south side of the house. Took about a half an hour and I probably didn't get them all. There's a stump they seem to be growing out from and where they touch the ground, start a new plant. Had to wear very thick gloves. Probably an old rose bush that's gone wild.

@debodun,,, lots of salt on the bare stump now, may kill it or at least slow the new growth down in the Spring.
A good suggestion, but I'd worry that the salt may leech out in the soil and kill other plants. That thorny stump is right next to what looks like a holly bush. I tried to dig the stump out, but the ground is so hard, it's like stone. I could have a stump removal service, but they'd probably charge a fortune.

Please, please, please.....get checked out!

Sunny skies,,may rain later?

Enjoying the quiet before getting busy with household chores.
Raining here currently since 2pm, it's 5pm now, still going. It meant that we had to put the main living room lamp on much earlier.

Rain, rain, please go away to Spain. Valencia is currently going through loads if fires, it would help out them out.

Such a lovely day today - actually quite warm earlier!

Went for a walk and picked up some shopping. After lunch, I had a burst of energy and put the washing on, hoovered, dusted, changed the bedding, tidied ... I even got the steam thingy out and sprayed the tiles - and cleaned the floors all before tea time! Time for a cuppa I think :)☕
