Marrows are a different plant, although similar to courgettes. They tend to be much larger with a thicker skin and often striped - depending on variety. They typically weigh around 3 lbs.

Hmmmmm.....it would seem that I've learned something today. Are they in the squash family, do they taste like zucchini?

Oh, I'm sure that you are not first figuring this out, now!!!! 😂
well we were very young when we got married..47 years go and young when we divorced 8 years later .. and he was a different person then, After we divorced he married someone who shall we say for want of politeness.. was less than a lady , and he obviously took on that role among her and her friends for the next 2 decades... and became a very bombastic , loud, critical person...

Had to look up marrrow. On this side of the pond we call them zucchini. Courgettes, if we're feeling fancy.
courgettes are as you say also known across the pond as Zuchini... but Marrows are much bigger...

Um. Yanno how I've said for years that I don't do numbers? I don't. Except for some reason I can do really complicated numbers in my head. Go figure. But just ordinary things like keeping track of my budget and checkbook? Welllll...I'm not really quite sure yet, but no matter how I slice it, it seems that I made a large-ish error in my checkbook. Large-ish amounting to a bit more than pocket change. Like probably $750. In. My. Favor.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how it happened or find where the error is in the check register or by combing through the account online🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@hollydolly Before you ask, nope. Next week.
..and I was about to buy you this retro sign for thanksgiving...

After my morning walk, I took a nap as usual. Then helping my wife preparing Thanksgiving lunch with my younger daughter's family; the older one won't be home till Christmas. Next working in the garden, cleaning up tree branches blown down by the last Santa Ana Winds. Checking where the creek runs out under the fence, and strengthening it with large reeds. The winter rains will do same damage anyway. Just making sure that the dogs can't get out and coyotes come in. The next job will be pruning some Palm trees, but that probably has to wait till after Thanksgiving.

Went on a binge yesterday evening 😵‍💫 after returning from some urban street exercising, including eating too much greasy junk and sweets food. Ate more than just "the whole thing" haha. Went to sleep about 4 hours after usual at 2am then didn't really get up until noon while regularly waking up drinking water helping flush it all through my GI tract. Since getting up am just going through motions on my laptop and will likely only watch TV or watch a Youtube movie later on.

Should be good to go after a better night of sleep, tomorrow on the holiday (70F and sunny) though for the first time in years, won't be joining others so will need to feed and amuse myself. Late afternoon on TV will be the 49er versus Seahawks NFL game.

Morning and Happy Thanksgiving.....I slept great last nite!
So here I am another day older, and that is very amazing to
me sometimes, to have lived this long...ah well...no big plans for
the day, finish up the laundry, pay some bills, and just take it easy....dunno what time my dinner will be brought, but it will
be good for sure...catch u later!!! ;):p

It's a glorious sunny day...warm in my garden.. 57 deg... been sweeping away the cobwebs which gather overnight all over the place in the garden....

I've also been clearing out memory space in my computer by getting rid of photos.. I've managed to remove over 2,000.. this week ..laborious but necessary, however I found photos deep in the memory from many years ago I'd forgotten all about...

Will be getting the chicken ready to go in the oven.
Sweet potato casserole thawing as are dinner rolls.

Hubby & son are delivering load of. firewood.
Customer we've never had before .
