What are you doing today 2023

It's a very cloudy Sunday, but very warm 3°C. Just had a Brunch omelette with toasts and juice. Now enjoying a mocha coffee.

Earlier after chores was surfing the internet found out that many websites were abandoned circa 2020, Pandemic years... Also, not everyone's on Facebook. Therefore, communications with important sites is rendered useless.

Not surprising that comments found here and there, states that these people really don't care about their business anymore...or the people who might want to join... disappointing...

Somehow, those two 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 managed to get in behind a large, heavy bureau to disconnect my landline, and what is worse! my Sirius radio! After much hard work, I was able to pull the bureau away from the wall, fix that problem, but now I have another: I can't push it back. No way, Jose. So, it's sticking out by several feet in the bedroom. My new decor--furniture in the middle of the room, not against the wall like other people.

I think my son will be here next Saturday. Maybe not. Oh well.......

so I took a hot water bottle to bed with me.
Do you have a cover for it? It stays much hotter longer and doesn’t burn you when you first get into bed. I made one myself years ago, which means if I can do it, anyone can.

Did you take all the drawers out. There are sliders you can set under the feet. If you got those, you could have them ready to go when you have your DS push it back in place and you’d be prepared for the next time the kitties have a party back there. 😉 Ask Holly, she has recommended them.

This should do well in whatever road conditions he gets into.

That looks like one I found slid off the road into a snow bank last winter.

Came by in my Civic and we took turns shoveling, seeing as I carry a shovel. He'd been there a while so I drove him 5 miles to get coffee and warm up. We went back... weak battery, couldn't crank itself over. No cables of course, but I had them so we got it started and once the back tires got off the ice at the bottom of the ditch he finally got it back on the road. He'd "beached" the thing and his front tires didn't reach the ground.

Some people have no business driving in Winter.

It is one of those rare days I am up at this time. I had ordered from Amazon and thought it to be best to try and get it off the porch when it came. It only was a new set of dog grooming scissors, balm for their feet and nose. I decided to get myself a good pair of scissors to trim my own hair.

I think it would be funny for a porch pirate to steal things that are not really something they would use or could sell. I just ordered a new airfryer so that will come tomorrow.

I had a steak and baked (jacket) potato for dinner last night. @hollydolly, I think a baked is so tasty and easy to make. I have learned and have been using my airfryer a lot more thanks to you! That is why I have worn the thing out. I cooked two small filets, the second will be sliced and used in a stir fry for tonight.

@Pepper, I also would advise to put slides under your heavy furniture. I had to add them about 12 years ago after I adopted a tiny chiweenie puppy. You turn your back for one minute and they are gone. I was lucky to have my son at home and he could get to her. I hope they are not wearing you out to bad, that they sleep well at night. When you can, have son take a picture of them to share with us.

I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your sNOw. I know, not fun when you live in it but it is so pretty.

I'm home and glad to see that y'all behaved. Mostly. Still giggling about @OneEyedDiva bouncing out of her seat and dancing.

@hawkdon Leave the sNOw. It'll melt.

@Pepper I get it! Me, too. Then I stress myself into a real snit.

Cold and damp and dreary today. Laundry has been started and turkey carcass is being made into broth for turkey vegetable soup. With big, fat noodles.

Every year about this time, the heat and a/c at the store go crazy. It's so cold in there that we have to step outside to warm up. I stood in front of the oven with the door open, waiting for the witch and feeling like Gretl of Hansel and Gretl fame. In the past, it's taken a few days at least to convince the HVAC system that it's winter now.

Feeling smug about getting the new mattress for DS/DSIL. It must have already been shipped because the cost has been deducted from my account. They don't usually do that until it's out the door.

TL called out sick this morning, 15 minutes before she was supposed to be there. The rule is 2 hrs before. Meh. Because I'm suspicious of everdamthang she does, I figure she's priming Sir to call out again tomorrow, inventory day. She avoids working on inventory day.

I sent Sir a text and told him to call me if that happens. He's supposed to be on "vacation" this week. That is, he'll be in and out and get vacay pay and paid for the hours he works, too. But inventory...it starts at midnight and not done until between 8 and 10.

I swear that woman could stand in front of me, using crutches and with her leg in a cast saying her leg's broken. I'd ask to see the xrays! :ROFLMAO:

Today was the day I was gonna clean the oven, but it didn't happen because I was trying to get everything else done in spite of TL not being there. Oh, well. There's a clerk who's a Jill-of-all-trades and Mistress of them all who came over and helped me coerce the Zebra into cooperating. She's been there a long time and has worked in every department so knows stuff. Lots of stuff, especially how to make the Zebra work like it's supposed to.

Turkey soup was really, really good. Too bad I never remember how I made stuff the last time...

Just thought of something: TL's day off is Tuesday. If she was priming Sir to call out again tomorrow, then that'll be three days off. If she does call out, guess who'll be working tomorrow?

Glad I did laundry. If I have to work, at least I'll have clean unders!

why don't you just never go in if she calls off sick. It's only because they can get cover from you, that no-one does anything to her for her appalling work ethic..

They rarely call me. Sir just works more hours.

If it's to be believed, this coming Saturday is really going to be TL's last day, and New Lady will be there the following week. I dare not get my hopes up.

New Lady is a treasure, and I really like to work with her.

@Kaila Nice to see you again!

Wow. Our high temp today is only supposed to be 48. 🥶 and windy🌬️ but sunny. Right now it's 44, calm, with the bright Beaver Moon shining.

I slept "late" and didn't get up until 4:30. Haven't heard a peep from work and hoping I don't.

My plan for today is to make dough for Christmas cookies and freeze until the week before Christmas. Guess I'll get the eggs and butter out of the fridge so it's room temp when I'm ready to get started.
