Hubby had errands to run,, so we went together to town.

Didn't know he was going to Walmart,,, I forgot my shopping list.
Came home & feel like I should go back .

He's eaten & gone off to the woods.

I better get more Christmas cards ready to mail.

Sorry to read You are so ill,,Pepper.

@Pepper I'd give you a hug, but don't want to make you suffer more:(. When I had covid, I hurt all over. To paraphrase Johnny Cash, I hurt all over more than anywhere else.

I'm home. It's still cold. It's also sunny, and on the patio side of the house there's no wind. Yay!

It was yet another great day in the bakery except for one little thing: it was sold cold there that I actually got frostbite on four fingerss. Frostbite doesn't hurt until it starts to wear off. Then? Ouch.

Think I'm just gonna veg for a while.
But ok, I guess I do hate to drag into a doctor appointment too rushed to remember to shave or put on pants.
Tell you what: forgetting to shave might be okay, but good grief! Don't forget to put your pants on!

be careful Capt... the reviews for the 1/2 price beef are almost all negative..

As it happened, ASDA was cheaper than Tesco for pork, beef and duck, so I didn't buy them in Tesco. They did have lamb at half price and I bought a couple of joints. I don't use the beef joints for roasting - I usually dice them to use in casseroles etc. If I want a roast, I buy from Morrisons because their meat comes from a local abattoir supplied from farms from round my local area.

It's my baby sisters' 61st birthday today.. being as her birthday is so late in the year.. it always feels like she should be one year older than she is.. she was born in 62.. so if she'd been born on Jan 1st she would be 62 years old.. instead she was born 2 weeks before, making her a whole year younger..:D

I remember so well when she was born.. we had knee deep snow in Scotland.. and we'd just moved house from one city to another , and there was no cot for her. Instead they had her sleep in a drawer... ... the drawers were very deep sided, and a part of the fabric of the house.. so they'd pull the drawer out and have her sleep in it..

It's 5.30am... couldn't sleep any more. Dark.. but I don't hear any wind or rain, which is a good thing. ..but it is forecast to rain

I'm going off to have Christmas lunch with my Daughter today.. which means a drive of 2 hours round trip in busy traffic... ,,not looking forward to that because my knees are so painful and it hurts to drive... .. another 2 weeks before I get the Cortisone injections...but I'm looking forward to seeing DD of course..

Seeing your DD will help you deal with your knees. Enjoy your meal and visit.

Gee, when I first started reading I thought "how nice" but not so nice about the knees part HD. :( I hope that what @Jules said holds true. Safe travels and Enjoy.

It will be a sunny day and temps in low 40s.

I am expecting an email from my church.
Yesterday I got my RVS shot and some groceries , and did other errands, and plan on staying home today- but no side affects so far from the shot-
and I got in bed early to watch TV.

At 7 PM I heard an ambulance call on my scanner and it was an elderly member of my church. He had just been discharged from a hospital ( I didn't know he had been sick) and his wife has been at a different hospital for over a week, because she fell and broke her shoulder.

The ambulance call was Very concerning-As a former member of the local volunteer fire department ( you are never really a former member) we are not allowed to talk about ambulance calls unless we are talking to a fire department member, in the same department.

I think that is a good policy because often it is hard to interpret the calls.

I'm feeling pretty good today, but it is still only 25 F here at 9 AM, so that cuts my motivation. It should warm up later on and then I can adjust a string of lights outdoors. Strung those yesterday but after dark when they came on I could see my error.

Beyond that no set plans. I'm Gumby, er, retired, dammit!
