What are you doing today?

I took my early walk around 6:30 to get NYT
After breakfast, took my long walk of the day to/from grocery store 6 blocks away
This afternoon, took my friend's family dog on a 3 block walk.
This evening will be watching game 1 of World Series, during the commericals switch to TLC'The Little Couple' on at same time

I went for a very heavy exercise and could fall asleep any moment now. Actually, I think I'll just fall asleep on my keyboakjblkfjbjkblkjbdaslfbnjsdafhbasdhfjnladbsflnabsdfhlbajdfhkjasdfj

Today I took the dog for his morning walk, then went to the gym for a couple of hours. When I came back I took him for a second walk through the neighborhood. Really been enjoying the cooler fall weather! They said we may get some rain late today, so I swept up all the leaves that were piling up in my walkway and driveway. I track them into the house when I get the morning paper and I don't want to bring in wet sloppy leaves. Soon I'll have to break out the blower and get all the rest of them up off my rocks.

Getting ready to have some grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato with basil bisque soup (canned), after that won't do much except get the trash together to put out tonight for morning pickup.

My day started out getting into trouble. Again......See, I like to collect stuff. Not actually collect but not wanting to throw anything out. Particularly my old running shoes. They have carried me for many a mile and I have become attached to them.

Sue Doesn't understand this. All she sees are running shoes that are somewhat tattered, worn out and, well, dirty. Bit smelly too.

"Doug, I was starting to clean out the closet in the basement. Guess what I found?"

"I don't know. I assume you are going to tell me.."

"Eleven pairs of old running shoes which, I seem to recall, you were going to toss out. Like three months ago."

"I Was?"

"Yep. They were originally in another box in the garage. They seem to have mysteriously made their way to the basement."

I had no answer other than to admit I had moved them as I had to check them out to see if the running shoes were still usable.......That brought a sigh from Sue.

"Well," said Sue, "I am going to give you like 1/2 hour to check out those icky shoes....Then out they go."

So i did as I was told. Checked the shoes out, said goodbye to them and, sadly with a tear or two, turned them over to Sue. She then looked them over and, none of them being worth saving, put them into the garbage bin.......After she goes to bed I'm thinking I might just, you know......

It's still gloomy and cool-ish in Houston. I'm going to drag the hubby (I hate that word ) with me to Walmart. I have put it off as long as I can, so that will be our activity for today. We are living the high life, y'all. Not sure what dinner's going to be yet; maybe a rotisserie chicken from the deli.

Just got home from a political rally here where I live, featuring all our wonderful Democratic candidates for everything, even governor. It was very informative.

Got back in the early hours of this morning from Paris.. Felt exhausted this morning, but I still managed to get the washing and drying done, and the clothes ironed and put away.. Even managed to dust everywhere upstairs and down this afternoon....

Made early dinner, washed up.. and then sitting in my office chair I crashed out , dead asleep for almost an hour!!

Trying to find a oral surgeon that will pull a tooth. Lost a filling and it is beyond repair. Never had a dentist down here so at 9 am, I’ll be making some phone calls. Wish me luck.

Good luck, Pappy! I had my cleaning last week and the periodontist thinks I may need another gum graft this year since the one done 9 years ago is failing. What thrilling news that was. :D (He told me to stop brushing so "enthusiastically.")

Today is errands day for me so I'll be running the roads this afternoon. We're getting things ready to pack in the RV since we're leaving on a road trip this weekend and will visit my sister and BIL in Georgia. I haven't seen my sister since last spring so I'm anxious and excited to get on the road.

It's still cool and overcast so I'm going to make beef stew for dinner, with green salad and cornbread. Hope everyone is having a good day.

We're bringing the motorhome to the house to get it packed and plug in the refrigerator. I'm getting really excited about "shoving off." :D It's a gorgeous sunny and cool day. I also need to run to the grocery store for a few things and get some laundry done.

Worked a six-hour tree gig: I trimmed five trees, and then loaded the brush and wood into my trailer, where I reduced the load with my chainsaw. Hard work, but a great workout and a good payday.
