I am glad to hear that you are happy with it. I had the three door and it was the lemon from hell.2002 Saturn Sport Coupe that I bought new. It’s a five speed with 79,000 miles.
I did enough running in my younger days, that I said when I retired I wasn’t coming off this hill unless I had to. This is my second Saturn SC and I love it. One reason I love it is that it is so small nobody wants to ride in it![]()
My friend Gary and I rode from Chicago to Santa Monica on 1976 Schwinn bicycles. We joked that if those bikes had Howitzers, they would be Tanks. They weighed a ton before we tied our gear on them...I thought people who owned convertibles were out driving Route 66 both ways, two or three times a year.
07 Toyota 4runner, 237XXX miles, runs perfect!
I traveled a bit after retiring and when I wanted to find a place to stay, I picked a Route 66 town. So much fun exploring the area and the historic buildings. My friend Gary and I rode from Chicago to Santa Monica on 1976 Schwinn bicycles. Nice ride... But you would be able to go faster if ya pedals...I have one of these. Best piece of equipment ever. I just got back from a 90 minute ride. Best feeling ever.

I do not even listen to the radio as that big screen is so annoying .I don't particularly like it but I'm driving a 24 Toyota RAV4 XLE hybrid. I hate the ABS brakes which takes away my ability to control stopping as I please. I hate the infotainment console which is always wanting me grab my Cell phone's data. Should be a button to make it just be a damned radio and leave me alone. Also the visibility from inside isn't so great. Doubt I'll ever get another new car but if I do I think I'll look for something more retro.
The seat is comfortable enough, thank gawd. But only for the driver, the passenger seat is junk.
Mine is not a hybrid but a hybrid is going to be my next one .
As far as both gas / electric are you happy with that ?
I do not know how Subaru's are now but a top of the line and suspect still is .I think so. Certainly it gets better milage than my old gas=only Suburu but I do worry if there will issues down the line since I have no experience with this sort of thing. Luckily I'm not counting on ever doing any upkeep on it myself.
