What are you driving.....and do you like it?

2002 Saturn Sport Coupe that I bought new. It’s a five speed with 79,000 miles.

I did enough running in my younger days, that I said when I retired I wasn’t coming off this hill unless I had to. This is my second Saturn SC and I love it. One reason I love it is that it is so small nobody wants to ride in it😂

We drive a 2019 Toyota Forerunner it is the fifth Toyota (Forerunner or Landcruiser) we have owned. They all were kept until they had over 200,000 miles on them. We have never had any major repair issue with them. Of course, we kept the oil changed and lubrications done. We will never purchase anything other than one of these vehicles as they are reliable and safe. We have never purchased a new one, we find one with around 20,000 miles on it that has been serviced properly. Can't be beat, for my money!

I am glad to hear that you are happy with it. I had the three door and it was the lemon from hell.

I drive a Genesis G70. Great car, it's a good combination of a sports car and a practical, comfortable sedan. Unfortunately, they don't seem to hold their value as well as I'd like.

I have a very generic vehicle but I did a lot of research because I’m thinking this might be my last. I bought a new 2020 Ford Escape at the beginning of 2021.

It’s now got about 30,000 miles and I have had no issues. I like all the features like adaptive cruise control, back up camera, and lane assist. Not to mention heated seats.

I got a great deal because it was just before all the prices got really crazy. It was listed for $26,000 but was $4,000 off due to being a previous year’s model.

Luckily, I do not have an upside down loan because of that discount. It’s a good car for road trips because it’s very roomy.

I liked the 4runners When they were Short Wheelbase Pickup sort of designs, before they turned into SUV's Autos.
Owned 2 and they were a lot of fun. Older one Clutch and the other a Auto Trans. Both so much fun.

In my late teens, a motorcycle would have been ideal for commuting to college. Lack of shekels and discouragement from my father put a motor bike on the back burner. Come graduation, followed by well paid employment in the work that I had sought, and, after the probationary period, the firm gave me a company car. Motorcycles were well and truly forgotten.

Advancement at work, climbing the greasy pole, a couple of promotions, the mortgage paid off, come middle age, things were well and truly on the up. It had been over twenty-five years since I hankered after a two wheeled vehicle. But this itch just wouldn't go away.

It's a Harley-Davidson and the model was known as The Heritage Springer. I had hoped to find a photo of us in our biker leathers, this photo was taken at a festival and it's well and truly contrived. Many of our friends admired the machine and asked us to pose on it. That's why you see us, dressed as we are. The bike itch was well and truly scratched. After five years it found a new owner and he paid me slightly more than the price that I had bought it new. The bike has fond memories but the vintage MG that we now have is just so endearing, we love it.

07 Toyota 4runner, 237XXX miles, runs perfect!

I agree this is all we drive also except a couple of time we found a Land Cruiser that was priced right with low milage. Both are exceptional and last for well in excess of over 200,000 miles. American cars sadly do not compete with these vehicles. They are getting better, but still not up to par...

My friend Gary and I rode from Chicago to Santa Monica on 1976 Schwinn bicycles. We joked that if those bikes had Howitzers, they would be Tanks. They weighed a ton before we tied our gear on them...
I traveled a bit after retiring and when I wanted to find a place to stay, I picked a Route 66 town. So much fun exploring the area and the historic buildings.

I know the feeling. I used to love to ride. Now I can't.

I just noticed that you have no rear suspension. One of these is an excellent substitute...

shopping

It's called a Cane Creek Thudbuster LT. I got mine used at the bike shop in Eureka for $50. The retail price at the time was over $250. It supposedly has a 250 Lb. weight limit, but I was over 300 Lb. when I bought it. And I never even put the stronger "elastomers" on it. I left the blue ones on it. This is an older model, the newer ones are slightly different.

I didn't even know such a thing existed. I shall look into that. Many Axel!

One thing I would like to get is a speaker to attach to the handlebars. I love listening to music while out on a ride.

2017 Subaru Legacy. It has about 20,000 miles on it, as I mainly just drive it around my own community. No long auto trips any more. So it's like a new car. A little bigger than I need, but I'm not getting rid of it. It feels solid and safe.

I don't particularly like it but I'm driving a 24 Toyota RAV4 XLE hybrid. I hate the ABS brakes which takes away my ability to control stopping as I please. I hate the infotainment console which is always wanting me grab my Cell phone's data. Should be a button to make it just be a damned radio and leave me alone. Also the visibility from inside isn't so great. Doubt I'll ever get another new car but if I do I think I'll look for something more retro.

The seat is comfortable enough, thank gawd. But only for the driver, the passenger seat is junk.

I do not even listen to the radio as that big screen is so annoying .

I laugh at my own jokes or complain to myself while driving but the screen lit up is ridiculous so do not use it .

Mine is not a hybrid but a hybrid is going to be my next one .

As far as both gas / electric are you happy with that ?

I think so. Certainly it gets better milage than my old gas=only Suburu but I do worry if there will issues down the line since I have no experience with this sort of thing. Luckily I'm not counting on ever doing any upkeep on it myself.

I do not know how Subaru's are now but a top of the line and suspect still is .
