What are you listening to in 2023?

Not sure if this counts as an answer, but I like listening to the You Tube channel that narrates (computer voice) many reddit threads, like from Ask Reddit. I find the reddit site hard to maneuver, so this channel helps. This is the one I have on now

In the 1970's there was a series of movies made in Italy under the banner of being a "giallo". Essentially, thrillers and murder/mysteries. Except they're always a bit bonkers. Be it gratuitous violence and gore, through the killers you can hardly ever guess at because the plot doesn't always make sense. They're an acquired taste. :D

However, the soundtracks to these movies are stupendous! Often jazz tinged, they helped the likes of Morricone cut his teeth (he scored lots of them). Experimental in nature, the soundtracks work great away from the films.

So right now I'm listening to the soundtrack to New York Ripper. The movie is a nasty, seedy little thing from Fulci. The music is great though!

@VaughanJB I listened to the Soundtrack 'The New York Ripper' on YouTube and found it amazing.
Couldn't find out much about who played on the track, but I liked it very much.
Guitar work is outstanding.

Thank you for sharing.

The music is by Francesco De Masi. However, annoyingly, my copy on Vinyl doesn't give any specific credits. That's despite their including a four page booklet with it. They're too busy talking about the movie itself, and then some info on the guy who created the (truly terrible) artwork. You'd think that since it was a vinyl release of the soundtrack, there'd be info on that.... but noooooooooooo. Anyway, it's a bonkers movie, very very sleazy with a helping of gore. Damn, Lucio Fulci was a strange guy!! Glad you enjoyed.
