Well, it very popular when it came out so somebody liked it. It came out in 1975 when I was still in high school. It was an all boys high school so there was too much testosterone for us to appreciate this kind of flakey BS. We were grooving to Radar Love and other cool beats in the cafeteria where there was a jukebox.

An artist friend of mine lent me Oxygene & Equinoxe after I was married. He also lent me Ommadawn. Although the first time I heard Ommadawn, my jaw was wide open in awe of how musically creative it was. It still hits me that way.

well the original by 10cc was number one in the UK for 2 weeks... and also in Canada.... and in the top ten of the American Billboard top 100...

Just so you know. What we're listening to today is a satirical song expressing how us Canucks reject 51st-statehood. I won't post it, some SF members might be offended. But it's a well done, humorous video... and it's lifting to our spirits up here.

I looked at it and it sounded a little off, plus the singer is playing a Gibson ES-345. Neil Young plays a Les Paul.

I didn't realize this had been copied/modified... Aerosmith changed it to "Reefer Headed Woman" back in '79. I'm learning that more and more of their earlier music is like this. Interesting
