What are you sick of hearing ?

We record all the TV shows we want to watch, then when we sit down to watch something on TV, I pull it off of my recorded list of options. I then 'blow' through all advertisements as we watch the show. Works well, only I wish my fast-forward on my TV/ Cable System ran faster...but it still beats watching those stupid advertisements...and political ads

I do not miss using fold out maps to navigate city streets ! I fully understand the risks involved but it is my choice to make.

BTW, I also understand those who might be sick of having to use devices such as cell phones to get things done these days. You do have my sympathy but don't slam me because I embrace it.

Good grief, who would criticize you for that?

I use my phone for everything I can, even though I don't know half of its capabilities.

I don't have a computer. I get rather tired of people saying I should get a real computer and a better Internet plan. Are they going to pay for it?

It happens but in general I guess I meant to say that I am sick of people slamming the latest available in technology. At the same time I do understand those who feel it is being forced down their throats. Kind of wishy washy on my part huh ?

Naw, you aren't wishy-washy. :) I've been thinking about this since your first post and I wonder sometimes if that always-slamming-the-latest-tech attitude could sometimes be a regional thing? Where I live, it seems that amongst most middle-aged-and-older males that being very adept at tech is considered to be "not very manly." Even amongst the upper-class, professional males (for instance, lawyers, M.D.s, bank managers). They even in a lot of cases brag about not being able to update their phone/computer/etc., how they always get the "girl" in the office, their wife/daughter/daughter-in-law/granddaughter to do it. They never seem to want to ask any younger-than-they male to do it; they always seem to ask a female. (Probably, any younger-than-they-males they know have gotten understandedly fed up with Dad/Grandpa/Uncle/etc. refusing to learn how to do it so they know better than to keep asking, lol.) In fact, one of Huzz's golf buddies who owned his own business before he retired and bragged about how good he was with money, bragged about how once he retired that his wife handled all the household finances since that's "women's work."

So maybe it could depend on the area sometimes, IDK?
 
Offensive commercials and crap I'm sick of hearing about gets muted or I change the channel. Medicare, robo calls, etc get to talk to the sofa cushion. I would love to see a neighborhood rule where everyone has 2 designated days per week to run their leaf blowers, lawn mowers, chain saws, weed eaters, edgers etc. I know everyone has to get things done when they have the time, but sometimes this increasing noise from dawn to after dark gets to be a bit much.

LOL - when they want to sell something, they gotta keep after us while the fear is there.
That's also why other vaccines are being advertised now.
